if i were rick instead of having sally and paul have estelle at like 40 (because as much as sally loves percy, having him made things undeniably hard for her as a single mom for some time, now when percy’s off to college she can enjoy maybe some traveling and general emptynest-ness), i would have them be childfree OR make like a foster program for campers so if they want to they could stay with a family like the jacksons during the school year and at camp for summer. that would especially be nice because these kids may not have reliable families and the jacksons could have a kid while also having the autonomy that comes with having a teen over a literal toddler, if that makes sense
