yesterday, i saw a coyote in broad daylight along the side of the road.
its ears were pinned back and it shuffled nervously along the gravel beside the road, darting back every time a car roared by.
it looked scared and out of place--it knew this wasn't where it belonged, it knew this wasn't its home.
but it kept shuffling by the roadside, like it wasn't sure what to do or where to go.
I feel that way sometimes. maybe all the time.
I feel as if i connect more to the label of a non-human, or otherkin, rather than therian or alterhuman. i feel as if the terms therian and alterhuman still leave room for humanity in the definition. i don’t feel very connected to my humanity at all, and i feel much more animal than human—though, i very often must put up a facade of humanity for civility’s sake.
not a day goes by where i wish i could pursue my true nature and disavow my human body all together.
i am a werewolf, through and through, and human is not a word that fits for me.
