I made 3 new pairs of earrings! Hooray, let me know what you think. The 1st pair are prehnite with reticulated silver leaves. The reticulation happens at the whim of the torch flame so these are truly #ooak. The 2nd pair are textured copper rolled around freshwater pearls. The earring hooks are sterling. I love pairing rustic with refined. The 3rd pair are fun spirals fused to discs, because spirals are always my favorites. The handcrafted, sterling silver sunflower earrings are listed in my shop! The sunflowers are two layers of hand-sawn petals with citrine set in bezels at the center. The bumblebee jasper cabs are almost perfect mirrors of one another. I set them in fine silver on sterling silver backplates. They are 2 1/2 inches long including the earring hooks. Another redo, this time with larimar earrings. I trimmed off the watercast elements and removed most of the patina for a shinier look. Simplifying isn't always the best answer, but, in this case, I think it is. Snowy owl flying across a snowy sky has a moonstone dangling below to represent an arctic landscape. All sterling silver metal components were sawn out by hand using my jeweler's saw. The snowy background on the pendant was created by fusing silver dust to the metal. The moonstone is set in fine silver, which is soldered to sterling silver metal. I framed it with silver wire that is balled on the ends. Snowy owls have actually been spotted on the beaches of NJ during the winter but I haven't been lucky enough to spot one.
