Another redo, this time with larimar earrings. I trimmed off the watercast elements and removed most of the patina for a shinier look. Simplifying isn't always the best answer, but, in this case, I think it is. Snowy owl flying across a snowy sky has a moonstone dangling below to represent an arctic landscape. All sterling silver metal components were sawn out by hand using my jeweler's saw. The snowy background on the pendant was created by fusing silver dust to the metal. The moonstone is set in fine silver, which is soldered to sterling silver metal. I framed it with silver wire that is balled on the ends. Snowy owls have actually been spotted on the beaches of NJ during the winter but I haven't been lucky enough to spot one.
