It takes tough love to test a jet engine. Our team in Peebles, OH subjects engines to grueling trials to make sure they keep working when they fly into hailstorms, dust clouds or even ingest a goose. Some tests are more rigorous than others, but “you’ve got to prove that your engines are good,” says Brian DeBruin, who runs the test operations site in Peebles.
