WOW!! thank you all for so many notes on this one, that's way more than what i'm used to and i wasn't expecting people to like this one so much!!! even hatena (the little character here) is surprised!

for anyone who misses flipnote and hatena (the service, not my character), you should check out sudomemo! they have a guide for setting up flipnote and connecting to their servers, if you have a homebrewed DSi, 3DS, or 2DS you can get it working pretty easy!!

it's march 5th, which is dissociative identity awareness day!! i seldom talk about being plural on here, but i am, and i've had this comic idea for quite a while now... i have P-DID, which is a label under the OSDD umbrella that not many people know about! i think these little infographics can be helpful to anyone who might be questioning or newly-realizing/diagnosed as plural, i know talking to other systems was one of the things that helped me out the most when i was learning all this stuff about myself. hopefully it might help you, too- or maybe you'll just get to learn something new!

the colors here are from this flag, just with a few adjustments to make it work better for something like a comic. i'll also link my sources under the cut, for anyone interested in reading more!

i keep seeing sentiments like this in the tags and it's making me really, really sad... like i say in the comic- figuring this stuff out can be frightening a lot of the time, but is it really worth it to just ignore it entirely..?? if you feel like you relate to it, why not do just a little bit of digging? maybe read the sources, just to ponder it? don't you think you owe it to yourself to know what's going on in your head? don't you think you deserve the recognition- don't you deserve your own time spent introspecting? ...don't you think there are parts of yourself that deserve to see the light of day, that deserve the respect from you and others? is it worth burying things about yourself because you don't want to face it?? i made this post for people who think exactly like this. because the things that have happened to you and the things that continue to happen to you, in your own head and body, deserve to be talked about. please. please just engage with what i'm saying, that's all i'm asking.

even unrelated from your individual experiences- don't you think it's just a little rude to leave a comment like this? at least the ones along the lines of "wowww ok well im going to ignore this forever". i put a lot of time, energy, and care into researching and drawing this in the hopes that it might reach you. you can tell me you like the art or you think it's cute or whatever before you say you're ignoring the sentiment, but you're still ignoring what i'm trying to say, and it makes this thing i made feel kind of pointless. at the very least, if you feel this way, you don't need to say it somewhere where it shows up in my notifs.

(also!! i don't want this to diminish the amount that people in the notes HAVE been saying that this resonates and that they want to do more research/learn more about themselves. it makes me really really happy to see and i really don't want to act like i don't read all of those, cause i do!!! i see every comment left on my work and i'm very glad this one has been reaching so many people the way i wanted it to. thank you!!)

hey all, my mom just got laid off from her job and i'm too disabled to work at the moment, and as much as i don't feel ready to open these.. it's not really up to me at this point, haha.

i will be taking one or two of these, and i'm specifically looking for simpler designs. this means characters with less parts that need to be separated/moving individually! because of this, this opening will NOT be first come first serve, i will be choosing which projects to take on based on what i think i can handle at the moment. because i'm also going through a lot of grief and stress, there also might be a slightly longer turnaround time on these (though probably not any longer than a month), i hope you can understand. feel free to dm me if you're interested!
