Summary:

He's so pretty.

Even like this, standing there, frozen, panic etched onto his features as he tried, for the third time, to open the door of the washing machine before the cycle has run out, Phil could just eat him up.

"It's not finished yet," he tells the boy gently, making sure to keep his voice quiet, because if someone caught him not knowing what to do and freaking out about it in any public situation, he'd be a right mess too. "See the number on the display? That's the minutes the cycle has left. It's another fifteen."

In a world without the internet, the universe can't stop coming up with other outlandish ways for Dan and Phil to keep running into each other.

ca. 8k words, finished, romcom, rated T

Thinking about Dan, in character in Dystopia Daily, trying to overwhelm Phil by being downright insane, and Phil immediately taking revenge by telling the kids (us) that Dan tried to move out and cancel the tour.

Thinking about how this is the only time they ever spoke about it.

Thinking about Phil simply not letting him.

Thinking about how much healing must’ve happened in the background for them to joke about it on camera.

Thinking.

Phil knows the only way for Dan to say he was a good youtuber is having to defend his honour

Honestly yeah, otherwise Dan will drift into some cynical spiel about the reason he was good at being a YouTuber was just an attempt to fit in and be loved and not actually coming from his soul and hence not true brilliance that somehow ends in glazing Phil ("you were a real trailblazer though"), which then leads to Phil eagerly accepting all of his compliments and only noticing what happened 4 years later, when someone shows the clip to him in some elaborated excuse for a "phan react to old clips" video, like for example, a phanarchives dan vs. - [gets shot]
