“I’m gay.” Okay, so…that wasn’t how Eddie planned on doing it. In his head he imagined easing them into it instead of just dropping that life-changing information then staring out the windshield as if the red traffic light in front of them is going to signal which way to take this conversation. Honestly, he had never been able to be so direct about his feelings before, so those two words surprised him probably as much as they surprised his son.
(or, 5 times Eddie stumbles his way out of the closet, plus one time he gets it right)
