Thinking about Robby affectionately calling Jack “red”. Having known Jack long enough to remember the gorgeous dark auburn curls he used to have. It comes out when Jack starts spitting fire.
“Easy there, Red. The break room isn’t soundproofed.”
“Red?” Jack turns and for a moment forgets what he’d been railing about and he smirks, “Really? No one here knows what the hell you’re talking about.”
“I’m not talking to them, I’m talking to you,” Robby whispers as he steps into Jack’s space, runs a hand over the gunmetal grey curls. Then his eyes light up, “and I don’t care what everybody says, you still look alright.”
That makes Jack laugh for real. “Oh, still? You’re a real smooth talker, Robinavitch, you know that? Get outta here. Your shift ended 90 minutes ago.”
“See you at home, Red.”
And if that makes Jack smile, makes him burn, more than once during his shift, so what.
does that mean the Pittlings would think he calls him Red for the blushing?

I know rabbot is most likely never gonna happen, but GODDDD the idea of it would be amazing. two older men, who have been around for a long time, feeling comfortable with their best friend that they also love. like..... part of why our flag means death meant so much to me was the fact that it was older queer people loving each other openly.
