When you point out that Rocky Horror is one of the most transmisogynistic films ever made, TMEs will tell you that it isn’t actually- and even if it is, it’s still so important to “the community” as an expression of genderfucky queer affirmation.

They always say “the community”, as if to implicitly exclude trans women from said community entirely without actually saying that. There is The Community and there is Trans Women.

“What about Ladyballers, or Silence of The Lambs, or Ace Ventura? Surely those must be more transmisogynistic than rocky horror.”

Well, I don’t see Scramratz posting about how Buffalo Bill is actually good transmasc representation.

The reason I single out rocky horror is because tme people do often acknowledge the bigotry in the films I’ve mentioned here, but when it comes to rocky horror it’s like they have blinders on. Rocky horror is more transmisogynistic than (that list) because it is basically inescapable for trans women that still want to interact with the broader Queer Community™️.

This is transfeminism!

The whole 'that "egg" might be a GNC man, let men be feminine without presuming they're trans!' cracks me up in the darkest way because it's like... when are trans women allowed to be feminine. Closeted or not, we fucking aren't. 'Why can't you just be a feminine man' as if we wouldn't have every outward attempt at signalling and indulging in femininity framed as a trick or fetish or something else dreamed up by a nefarious man. As if our 'masculine' features aren't hyperfocused on no matter what we look like.

The moment that femininity is a sincerely felt identity rather than just a style is the moment it becomes threatening to so many people.

Do the AI people know that the rest of us who never got on the bandwagon are still doing everything the same way we always have

The AI boom has changed literally nothing about my day to day life except I now have to work harder to get access to reliable information, all the important admin work is being done wrong, and I keep getting DMs letting me know the perfectly ordinary and plausible photo I liked was actually a fake image generated by a fascist to generate views and churn out ad money for the purpose of funding their tree-powered puppy-flushing toilet

"But how are you living life WITHOUT Doctor Leroy's Magically Invigorating Nerve Tonic? I can't imagine getting anything done without it!" <- old-timey 1800s guy who has been drinking crank and goat piss daily for the price of a shiny nickel

AGP is real

You mean the transmisogynistic diagnosis made to paint transfems as female fetishizers when it's been shown that cisgender women have extremely similar experiences on average? That is extremely unscientific, founded upon 0 basis, and that almost every aspect of has been disproved? That doesn't fit any of the current or former criteria of paraphilia, and exists all on its own specifically and only attached to transgender women? That's constantly brought up to dehumanize us? Suuuuuuuure, that's a totally real diagnosis! I'm sure hysteria is real too.

If a transfem is gonna come into my inbox after this and be like "but I self ID as it! I'm reclaiming it!" I'm not gonna tell you not to do it but I'm also not gonna hold your hand and tell you it's feminist or revolutionary.

it's so fucking sickening seeing the amount of vitriolic hate that Black trans women get for pointing out that white privilege applies to trans people too. there is no trans community and there never will be until Black trans women are listened to and not fucking harassed off of the internet for daring to suggest that white trans people are privileged over trans people of color. i don't want to be in a community with any of you racist pieces of shit.

This is transfeminism!

People hate me for saying that the man in our plural system doesn't like being called a lesbian actually because he's a man. He's straight. The rest of us are lesbians. Apparently this is a wild concept.

Absolutely inconceivable for a transgender man to not like being compared to a gay woman.

I thought multigender perspectives mattered to you assholes. Or is it only an excuse to be transphobic and predatory towards lesbians (who aren't interested in you).

If you're looking for Transfem Ralsei evidence in the Prophecy, you don't understand Ralsei, you don't understand Transfem Ralsei, and you may not understand Transfem. If the Prophecy told Ralsei to be a girl, she embrace the role of Girl as unflinchingly as canon Ralsei embraces the role of Prince.

Transfem Ralsei isn't a creative interpretation of Ralsei's role in the prophecy; it's a complete rejection of the role assigned to Ralsei before her birth.

The only small issue I've had with the recent Spider-Woman trend is that, since most people don't read the comics, they make Petra sound too sheltered/insecure/withdrawn. Where's her snark? Her bite? Her charming asshole-ery??

They also make JJ sound too..."good" for lack of a better word. Jonah is a dick with a heart of silver, maybe gold if you spitshine it. Even if he IS fully supportive, he's still an ass.

A good example of how to voice their + Robbie's dynamic:

tma/tme are not arbitrary. one can choose not to participate in discussions on transmisogyny, but one shouldn't be surprised to be asked what one's relationship to transmisogyny is if one tries to enter into discussions on transmisogyny.

"Pink and Ghost" "Pink and Maddy" Pink and-" SHHHHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GHOST AND BODY ARE BOTH PINK. IT'S NOT PINK AND THE GHOST POSSESSING HER OR PINK AND HER UNNAMED FRIEND OR WHATEVER THE MEW

Are those names? I thought they were just descriptions.

pink (body), pink (ghost)

Yeah, that's how I refer to them. The parentheticals are describing which Pink we're talking about.

If you say that you wanna see estrogen sold in vending machines then everyone assumes that's a joke and would have like major societal implications and cause all kinds of problems etc if it were allowed, but in a bunch of countries you can legit just like buy estrogen at regular normal pharmacies without a prescription or anything and it's fine. It's no big deal. It isn't even newsworthy.

What confuses me a bit is that I've seen some takes about genderfluid Ralsei or galsei where they're like "Ralsei's title doesn't have to dictate gender, Ralsei can still stay a prince if they're trans" and like yeah, but... that kinda misses the point?

We still have 2 scenes that are about Ralsei being explicitly a Princess in the game (quick intermission in case of genderfluid Ralsei, I don't think Princess would be an outlier from "title doesn't have to dictate gender" in general) and if you're just trying to find a way to make Ralsei still fit into the Prince title then what was the point of those scenes being there, firstly,

and secondly, the cool thing about trans Ralsei was also that Ralsei gets to realize that the prophecy can be wrong about things, or that it might actually be changeable, and thus giving them hope that maybe all they need lies in themselves to subvert the ending. That doesn't work if Ralsei is still stuck in the Prince mold.

The fandom in general has a lot of problems with still wanting everything to fit the prophecy with "Ralsei is the girl, and Lancer can be the prince" or "Asriel is the prince and Ralsei isn't actually in the prophecy".

Free yourself my siblings in fandom, the prophecy is a cringe-ass loser fraud, we don't want to appease it!

Although I'm really freaking out about Toby saying that they are aiming for chapter 6 to be released next year, I find myself begging for the new chapter to drop ASAP just so we can get more clarity as to Ralsei's gender identity. I find people thrice as hostile towards transfem Ralsei now that chapter 5 is out, and because this reading has reached a broader side of the fandom, people are either in total denial of Ralsei being trans in any way, very rude to other people who do see Ralsei as trans but choose to use another set of pronouns, or straight up oblivious to this whole ordeal - which, wow, people choosing not to engage with Ralsei's arc, shocker!

And it's just so frustrating to see so many people at each other's throats in every other trans Ralsei posts. Sure, there were still people who hated Galsei fans' guts and left rude messages here and there before the new chapter (and this is me speaking from experience), but now that people are realizing that Trans Ralsei Might Be A Thing, publicly headcanoning or reading Ralsei as a trans girl, transfem, non-binary or genderfluid feels like being under a magic blinking sign with an arrow pointing at you that says "please give me your unsolicited, rude opinion that I didn't ask for".

So I'm on my knees, both dreading the day chapter 6 releases and wishing for it to come out tomorrow just so we can continue this new arc and end this era once and for all. It's been only a month but you people are already driving me insane. I do not like it here. Get me outta here. Get me outta here, please.

why are you sucking up to tme/tma language? what’s the goal? separatism hurts trans solidarity. you dont have to do that to respect trans feminine people. anyone who says you need to doesn’t have intercommunity allyship at heart whatsoever. just be aware of that.

no. that's wrong. intercommunity allyship means recognizing that transmisogyny exempt people have privilege over transmisogyny affected people and it's our duty as tme folks to make a point of uplifting transfems. you don't know what allyship is and you don't listen to transfem people if this is seriously what you think. this isn't about separatism. it's about being honest and compassionate and trying to unlearn transmisogyny. framing it as "sucking up" is deeply transmisogynistic— it's acting like i'm submitting in some way to some imaginary bully (i.e. language invented by trans women to describe their experiences of oppression) and weakening myself in the process, which is also baseline misogynistic. don't get all "be aware of that" with me. i see you, devil.
