Sarah is a trans woman who makes her living growing mushrooms. When a bad harvest leaves her in a desperate fix, the lure of the King’s Breakfast has her journeying into those vast uncharted woods. Her only guide is the most annoying man in the world, and he’s convinced there’s no danger. But as they descend deeper, they realize they’re not alone. Something is luring them into the heart of the forest, and they must answer its call.

I always feel so guilty whenever someone holds the elevator door open for me and I end up going to the floor below the floor they’re going to. Like, you did me a kindness, and now I’m fucking you over.

#the gym I used to go to was on the second floor of a building #but for security reasons you couldn’t take the stairs up from the lobby #I would feel so bad every time

one time i was making potato soup and i needed broth for it but i was out of broth. but in my dog food cabinet there was a carton of chicken broth that i had bought for my dog. now the box did say HUMAN GRADE and the ingredients were just bog standard chicken broth. it did say something about joint health for dogs on there. but the ingredients were normal. i even compared the ingredients list to some normal person broth and they were the same. so i did put dog broth in that soup and it did taste completely normal. but i did use the dog broth.

Putting a trigger warning in the tags is very different then changing the words you use.

If someone knows their triggers then can filter for them.

Changing the words to describe things to sanitize the internet for advertising is not the same thing as acknowledging triggering content for people.

One is changing the way we use language to reduce and obscure sensitive and controversial topics, which reduces it in the public sphere.

The other is a courtesy to people who know theor limits and what content is personally harmful to them. It does not reduce dialogue in a public space.

my general opinion on what people should be "allowed" to portray and what topics they should be "allowed" to explore in fiction is that you can make whatever art with whatever themes you want but i'm also allowed to think the way you handled it was tasteless and should've been done differently. my negative opinion on your handling of sensitive topics is the price of admission for publicly showcasing your work. this is not a pro-censorship stance because i am not The Government
