5AM water aerobics = watching my dog run around the backyard biting at the sprinklers until she's soaked.

Physical Therapy for hypermobility is your PT telling you to bring your shoulder blades together using specific muscles, and not only realizing you can't but also that your body has been trying to compensate your entire life--which is why everything always hurts.

Pro Tip: everything is not, in fact, supposed to hurt all the time, and powering through it is bad, actually.

Body, you HAD ONE JOB!

Star Trek is the story of the future. Humanity masters physics and engineering enough to allow us to flit between the stars and hold our own in the face of both cosmic wonders and nightmares. But even more than that, we grow up. We let go of the selfishness, aggression, and need for domination that have held our species back for so long. Star Trek, at its heart, makes the case that technological progress is worthless unless it goes hand in hand with social progress. There are no billionaires in the Federation, no private corporations, no strongmen.

My latest newsletter is about how I've somehow gotten the chance to write a Star Trek comic book called Star Trek: Zero Point!

I'm calling these my Wounded Bears. Hurt, but still here. Taking the time to rest, and heal.

Y'all know about fabric glue?

What do you mean I don't need to completely unpick & reembroider this bear's snout? What do you mean I can just glue the loose & broken strands?

Mind? Blown.

May you experience the amount of joy my dog experiences while catching the bubbles I blow for her as they float down from the sky.

That sounds very serene. It's not.

She flings herself into the sky, and rushes them, then aggressively barks at me until I blow more bubbles.
