In every way, I was raised to kill this: the impulse to build and protect a place where you and I can live as ourselves. And not just live. When I hear you on the phone, there's always something else going on, something's happened that will change you or change me, and it's not those moments but ourselves that we share with each other. Not out of necessity, but abundance.
you can say we're still friends ( but i don't wanna pretend )

"I think I'm in love with Buck." The confession rips the air from his lungs.
"I know." It's all Hen says, so calm, and looking at Eddie with this exasperated but fond look in her eyes. "I think the only person that doesn't know you're in love with Buck, is Buck."
or;
Eddie talks about his feelings for Buck. Hen and Chimney take matters into their own hands and set them up on a blind date without their knowledge.
like the war of words I shouted in my sleep

Neither one of them say anything. Buck's arms come up across Eddie's back slowly and hesitant like he's scared he'll be pushed away. But Eddie just locks his arms around his husband, holding him as close to him as humanly possible.
"I'll sleep on the floor tonight." Buck says after a while.
Eddie rolls his eyes. "No, you won't." After a beat, he speaks before Buck can even think about it. "You won't sleep on the couch either, you idiot." The insult doesn't have a bite, the tone too fond to actually mean it.
or;
Buck has nightmares and PTSD from his time as a Navy Seal and his time being tortured and kept in captivity.
Eddie is there to comfort him and make everything a little better.
social media au part (?/?)
the one where two dumbasses find themselves at a gay bar
it will literally be the year of 2056 and i will still not be over how these two idiots are so in love and they're not even together yet
like buck didn't last a day without being completely taken by eddie. the man only had to compliment him and buck was already all heart eyes ( the guy has the biggest praise kink, let's be honest ). it only took one call in the back of an ambulance and boom! they're best friends for life.
the fact that eddie is a private reserved person but letting buck in and open up to him was so easy. the fact that after a breakdown buck is the only one who can comfort him, he's the one chris calls when he's worried about eddie bc he knows his dad trusts buck more than anyone else, not only with chris but with himself.
"there's no one in this world i trust with my son more than you" this is the moment that eddie gave buck his heart because that's what chris is after all: eddie's heart.
and it's also the fact that eddie came into buck's life at the perfect time. buck was reckless and impulsive and immature in season one and he still had a lot to learn and abby helped with that and once buck got to this turning point, where you can see the growth he's made, abby left him. but then eddie is in the picture and almost immediately buck has this new person to rely on. a person that will stay and that will be patient and understanding. not only that but also a person who can give him a family, a home.
pining eddie is so personal to me...
inspired by this tik tok
i feel like eddie would totally do something like this lmao.
also, @adventuresofprettyboyandthekid made me do this... lmao

Buck thinks his new house is haunted and somehow convinces his neighbor Eddie to help him get rid of the ghost.
based on the prompt:
You just moved in next door and you’re convinced your house is haunted so you seek refuge at my house when you get freaked out and eventually rope me into investigating for paranormal activity and the only reason I’m doing any of this is because you’re really freaking cute AU

Eddie, darling, you're my best friend.

APRIL, LISTEN. That mental bond post?
“If you think ‘knit, knit, purl,’ one more time, I’ll stab you with those needles”???
Could I please have knitter Eddie? please??? (I blame @fleurdebeton, she put the thought in my head)
I am so so sorry this took me so long and it's pretty short but I lowkey like how it turned out. Also, I haven't read knitter Eddie but after this I'll have to check it out. Hope you like this! And also you, @fleurdebeton ! <33
prompt from this list ( i added a few in passing just for fun )
There's a voice in everybody's head, and for as long as there have been people speaking, collective wisdom has said that it's the voice of your soulmate. You might grow up with them. You might never meet. You might meet, but find you have nothing in common. But, people say, that person is out there, somewhere.
Eddie has always believed that a soulbond is a blessing — a rare and beautiful miracle, joining the thoughts and feelings of two people forever, from the first time they touch.
When he first met Buck, and when he realized the blonde was his soulmate, well— it was amazing. And they really are soulmates, they slide into their relationship with such ease and such comfort that Eddie couldn't have asked for anything better.
But the mental bond… Eddie will admit sometimes it could get a little annoying. Especially when your soulmate is Evan Buckley.
The amount of times Buck thinks something dumb or annoying a day can be more high than you'd imagine.
When they first moved in together, Buck kept thinking he forgot to lock the door or forgot his keys whenever they got out. "What if–?" “No, Evan, you didn’t forget to lock the door. You can quit fixating on it now.”
Or when Buck hyper-fixates on something. "Buck, I swear– you’ve had that song stuck in your head for days. It’s driving me nuts, too.”
So yeah, it can get a little annoying. But Eddie loves the man, and it's endearing most of the time more than it's annoying anyway.
But what Eddie enjoys the most is when he can get a little revenge, so to say.
They're having a nice quiet evening, with Chris doing homework in his bedroom. Eddie is sitting in his favorite armchair, mosaic knitting. And Buck is reading, sprawled on the couch.
Eddie likes to knit. His Abuela used to knit scarfs, socks, anything you could think of really, for everyone in the family. Even his sisters' dolls. And Eddie would help her sometimes, Abuela having the love and patience to teach a young him how to knit. It's one of Eddie's favorite hobbies.
“Eds, I swear to God— If you think ‘knit, knit, purl,’ one more time, I’ll stab you with those needles.” Buck breaks the silence.
Eddie has to bite down on his lower lip hard, trying not to smile. He ignores his soulmate and keeps knitting, trying not to drop any stitches.
"Eddie!" Buck groans, annoyed. "Seriously, I'm not kidding."
"knit, knit, purl."
He looks up and Buck is frowning at him, his mouth pouting and his arms crossed over his chest. He looks like a toddler having a tantrum. Is hilarious and adorable at the same time.
Yeah, having a Soul Bound can get annoying. But also can be very fucking entertaining, Eddie thinks.
The 126 vs The 118: which one is better?
it's all in good fun tho
Lmao, Taylor finding out about the will via Twitter. Ngl, I would pay to see this.
Eddie Diaz on Twitter is everything, honestly.
