I've read batsis! introduce and Im genuinely curious to know who is Zayne😭

Zayne is just a random character I made up for some future storylines for batsis! fics! He's not connected to any canon characters, even if he likes to brag that he's distantly related to Lex Luthor.

Essentially, he will serve as a foil to batsis once she starts going to the Academy in her origin story. Zayne is a spoiled, rich boy who has a Karen for a mom and often picks on batsis for not "really" belonging in the upper class due to her not being blood-related to the Waynes. He becomes an academic rival and a snob when they run into each other at galas.

And before anyone asks, no, it is NOT academic rivals to lovers. Zayne is an antagonist. I haven't had a chance to put him in a fic yet, but soon I will!

You know, Supergirl and Superman both flip the usual gender role inforced tropes seen frequently in media. As many have pointed out, Supergirl was the messy, middle-aged man with a dog and trauma who becomes a reluctant parent and fights bad guys to save the kid trope, except Kara is a depressed, imperfect young woman who becomes a reluctant parent and saves her dog, all while having goodness deep down. Rather than taking a pacifist approach, she straight-up kills people if they are truly evil, which is not often seen with female characters.

On the flip side, Superman fits into the opposite. Many women in media have been through so much trauma, but are portrayed as positive, hopeful, and kind despite it, rather than vengeful or angry towards what happened to them. They're always caring and support the male love interest's career goals. Clark fits into this trope with his relentless optimism and ability to see the good in people, while maintaining his softness and supporting Lois 110% at all times.

Note: I wrote this last minute because I couldn't get the idea out of my head, so probably terrible

tw - Period pains, cramps, and mentions of reproductive health problems. Tiny mention of blood. Reader is implied to have endometriosis, but can work for any kind of period. Brief mentions of sexism in STEM

You know how periods seem to show up at the worst of times? Well, it can’t get any worse than when you’re traveling through space on a suicide mission to save the world that you didn’t even willingly sign up for. Which was exactly where you were right now. 

Shoot! Blood? Great! Just what you needed about now. Having debilitating cramps that left you in bed for days, curled up in pain, was one thing when your only worry was not showing up in time for work at the lab, but in space? Even the memory of them sent a spike of dread down your spine. Once you had begun regaining your memories, those had been the first to return. As far as you could tell, you had some sort of condition, even if you weren’t entirely sure the exact one. 

Not to mention you were stuck here with Ryland and a very talkative rock. 

Honestly, you weren’t sure whether or not to expect this at one point. You had been traveling the Hail Mary for a few months now, and your period hadn’t shown up. At first you theorized that being stuck in the coma for so long may have stopped it permanently. Typically, an astronaut would use a form of birth control or an IUD, but none would have been able to work through the coma for that long.

You had been upfront about it when Red Hood reached out to you, in need of your hacking skills for a case when you had first met. 

“No, I’m just tired is all,” you insisted, but he could already see the fatigue in your eyes. Trying to ignore the pain, you forced a smile. Except, this was not the sort of pain you could ignore. Every breath brought an ache, feeling like lightning shooting through your muscles. A sort of fatigue that couldn’t be simply rested off, that sank deep into your bones.  

 “Besides, we have a mission tonight,” you went on. “What about stopping the smuggling group?” Stubborn. Snapping the book shut, Jason stood up and crossed his arms. “No mission tonight. You come first.”

Probably the Prisoner of Azkaban for unknown reasons. I just always liked it for some reason. Probably because I was a Sirius Black fan from day #1

Order of the Phoenix from a writing standpoint is the best one in my opinion though!

You were currently trying to convince your boyfriend to wear some makeup to the metal concert you were going to. To be honest, you were using it as a blatant excuse to finally see him look a little more alternative than he already is.

“Even the guys?” Bucky grumbles, side eyeing you from his spot on the couch. His arms are crossed firmly over his broad chest, making his biceps, both metal and flesh, look ridiculously good in the sleeveless shirt you put him in.

“Especially the guys! Come on. Just this once?” You say, wiggling the eyeliner stick at him. “Unless you’re scared of a little makeup?”

Hmm, I'd say vampire, but if I can control what type of werewolf/vampire, then it would be harder to choose. Like, would it be a vampire from Twilight, or from another franchise, or from folklore? What rules would I follow (like, would I burn to death in the sunlight, or would I get really bad sunburns if I'm out for too long? Would garlic kill me, or would it just be an allergy? Would I have to drink human blood to live, and how often would I need it? What would the effects of not having blood be, would they be just general exhaustion or a hungry craze for blood?) But either way, considering being a werewolf makes you go crazy every month, being a vampire would be better (and cooler also oops sorry for the rant-)

Given that I watched PHM recently, if you were an Eridian, what color would you be? (Grace would have to tell you the color your caraparce is, but still)

Don't worry about the wait!

I'm obsessed with PHM right now, so I've given this wayyyy too much thought. I would want to be an Eridian with sort of a clear-ish, prism carapace so that it would reflect other colors! It reminds me of how I have synesthesia and see more colors than most in general

If you were suddenly stuck in the last series you watched, would you survive? (I'd be in Death Note so I'd be so cooked)

A Rose's Thorn - part 2 Prev part

Pairing: Platonic Batfam x batsis! reader - 7k words

Summary: After Poison Ivy escapes, you face cuddle pollen for the first time, faking immunity until your family discovers a harsh truth

tw angst, ai data centers, ai generated media mentioned (hate for all of these btw- none used), batsis is metahuman, batsis used to be in a lab, heavy angst, complicated father-daughter relationships, parental abuse (not Bruce just batsis's previous family), cyberbullying, trauma, PTSD, experimentation, touch aversion/ touch starvation

Note: This chapter is the most emotionally heavy and took me forever to write! Btw I'm turning this into a mini-series and it will now have about 5 chapters!

Rose’s thorns are sharp, but they are also there to protect the soft petals from being plucked. Sharp and deadly when tangled, ensnaring anything that grows too close. Ironic, really, how being close to something so sweet could be painful if you try to get near. Things were no different with your family. As much as you cared for them, you couldn’t let them in, just in case. What if one day, they were the ones to hurt you? To decide you were unwanted? Deep down, you knew they would always be yours, but the one slight chance things could change one day was one you couldn’t risk. Getting in deep only made pulling away more painful. At least it wouldn’t hurt so much if they did turn their back on you.
