i don't really want to weight in on the "using big words in your writing is ableist" discourse happening on tiktok because i'm like 90% certain it's an anti-intellectual psyop to stir up drama in online circles to promote the use of ai to summarize literally everything and thus feeding the LLMs and lowering the populace's mistrust of such tools but i also have to say: dictionaries and thesauruses are the most accessible they've ever been. if you use an e-reader of any kind you can look up a word without leaving the page. there's a plethora of online dictionaries and if you just type a word + "meaning" into google it'll usually give you a definition. we used to have pocket dictionaries we used when reading in class. i have two on my shelf right now that i used in high school. stop letting the fascists purposefully misuse anti-ableism rhetoric to trick you into never thinking again.

fo4 writers literally said "i love how blade runner gives replicants a built-in tragedy in the form of a 5-year maximum lifespan, we should do something like that with gen 3 synths" and then did the exact opposite. checks notes what if uhhhhhh. our versions never age or get sick or anything. would thjat be sad

there IS horror and tragedy to be had in the thought that synth shaun was created to BE a child in the cruelest, most basic sense. he's trapped there forever. he can never age. his body will remain in a perpetual state of arrested development even as his mind will change and expand with time. he'll outlive the sole survivor and the world will still see him as less-than-human by virtue of his synth identity AND his child identity. but the game doesn't talk about any of that

The corollary of needing to be willing to frame arguments in terms of moral precepts you don't necessarily share is needing to be aware of subtext. Yes, it's easy to get a certain stripe of hyper-conservative folks to agree with anything you please by framing it in terms of opposition to Big Government, but a large part of that is because when you say "Big Government", what they hear is "Jews". You didn't hack their brain with magic words, you just didn't realise what you were saying!

I don't remember what post exactly I said this in, but I remember I once saw someone doing this and had to be like "sometimes you think you're tricking the racist into agreeing with you when you're actually letting the racist trick you into agreeing with him"

The rat was sculpted in blender from scratch, the bat is a heavily modified free model, and the thief mage was put together in Heroforge.

Came out a lot more crude than I wanted, I felt my hand wasn't so steady. And so, it was hard to finish, but I'm glad I pushed through!

How do you think like, staffs within the Elder Scrolls get charged? I know you use soul gems, but how do you think you charge it with the soul gem? do you have to rub them together? do some weird ritual where you meditate the energy into the staff...??? Is there a panel on the back where you change the soul gems like batteries?

I was finally able to take part in 24h comic again! Since i cant quite draw 24 pages in 24 hours I gave myself the goal of 12 pages of improvised comic. I was able to draw the pages I just added some color and the cover art later. The obscure memes referenced will be under cut if you find yourself confused.
