This is from back in Dec/Jan when I started on this Au and promptly forgot (Which is why Raph doesn't have a design/drawings arent as good as the stuff I put out today.)

Today’s magma was awesome (ty again @tacoturtlenerd) I got to draw with the most ppl I’ve seen on the magma ever at one time and I got to see and talk with so many incredible artists!

Buckle up, because this scene makes me cry every time.

The first time I watched it I… empathized with Raph. On a very, very deep level. I wished I could take a leap of faith and be caught in the same way. A story(or comic) for another time, perhaps.

The second time, I noticed something very specific. Raph is standing, in this moment, in front of the sun.

In a way, he is the sun to his younger brothers. He is constant and ever protecting. They look up to him.

But no man (or alligator snapping turtle mutant) can hold up the sun their whole life; they'll burn. So he jumps. He lets go of protecting them so they can grow.

Please bring back Rise. Bring back my boys and April

I used to lovveeeee drawing Raph and April, I would draw them all the time and now I find them super hard to draw now 😔😔 it’s mainly Aprils glasses for me and Raphs arms but I’m gonna keep practicing to draw them again!

Also that turtle next to Yuki isn’t important to the story it’s an old ex friends oc and I forgot to cross her out 🙂
