#op I found this post in my 'for you' dash (yeah I'm one of the 2 people who actually looks through that lmao) and I LOVE IT so im jumping in #delphine trevelyan #kind of favours the eldest daughter. she's always running off to some meeting or event and she would just take her kid too.#but then she has twins and she can't cart three kids around #the eldest is old enough by this point to keep coming but the twins stay home with cullen #so they always feel like their mother favours their older sister #and delphine just doesn't get to know them the way she does her eldest #until their magic appears and then she has to train them #and while this does repair their relationship somewhat they do wonder if they only get to see mum so much because of their magic #ammabel von valancius #has children to be heirs and that's first and foremost what they are #she basically pops them out and has to get straight back to work while nursemaids and governesses look after the kids #she's originally closer to the eldest because he seemed to be the natural heir so she takes time to guide him #while her secondborn gets occasional visits #but her firstborn becomes an arrogant and nasty little shit. feels entitled to the position so doesn't improve himself.#so ammabel just... changes her mind lol #she's impressed by how hard her second son works and how much he seems to idolise her and what she stands for as ruler #so she declares him her chosen heir. and in so doing basically makes her children enemies.#i'm pondering whether I have ammabel have a third - unintended - child. one conceived and born on the voidship years later.#a little girl she and heinrix keep with them on the ship #anyway I love thinking about this sorry for the long tags lmao
