Getting around to posting the first 2 weeks of @adorkastock 's Draw Everything June challenge! I did a self-study group sketch-a-may where I experimented with new brushes, so i fed it forward with using the brushes in their default settings (mostly) for drawing and coloring to see how it went.

Month 6, day 12

More pose practice, references courtesy of the wonderful @adorkastock :)

I need to start approaching these more as gesture drawings. Yes, getting down the anatomy and proportions is a good skill to build and I need to work on that, too, but gesture drawing helps practice the feel of the pose, which is something I definitely want to incorporate more of in my art.

I had to return to office (ugh) so I needed “safe for work” reference photos to draw from (I shouldn’t be drawing at work in the first place but NSFW reference photos would get me fired instead of just reprimanded). So I just want to say thank you for making good SFW reference photos.

Anonymous asked:

do you have any crossbow poses or know anyone who does?

I have some! Not a ton. But I still own this so there can definitely be more in the future!! If you need something specific please remember my Patreon free requests and my Kofi commissions ♥ Obligatory disclaimer: I have no idea how to use a crossbow

Draw Everything June: Day 9

Loved this model, loved this reference.

When I settled on Princess Serenity I immediately thought of her manga design - Naoko draws her gown so gauzy and sheer and otherworldly that I thought it would really enhance the beauty of this pose and the softness I was going for.
