The fruit rolled heavily between your hands, its weight thumping against your palms as you hummed.
“Double it.”
The man scoffed. “Not a chance. It’s a basic zoan type. Nobody’s going to be paying big money for the chance to turn into a rabbit.”
You looked down at the devil fruit in your hands. It had a nice heft to it. And he was right, it was a pretty unimportant one, all things considered.
You shrugged. “Guess I’ll be keeping it then.”
“What?”
“I mean you don’t want it so… maybe I’ll find somebody on the next island. Not like they go off or anything.”
He reached for his blade, your own was already half-drawn before he could try it.
How do I even start😭😭 I fear everyone who knows me how much I love and crave Marco smut, so seeing my fav author write me one is just insane, like am I dreaming?? Also I don't understand what you don't like, from your usual beautiful writing to the super good and natural dialogue to the toe curling smut, this was SO good!! - the chaos walking trilogy by patrick ness is the best series ever written (don’t watch the film) & i lowkey recommend everything he’s ever written.
- also anything by jay kristoff especially if you like scifi
-for thriller ‘the drift’ by cj tudor is a great locked room mystery & also the kat & lock series by jo callaghan if you want more crime vibes
- for non fiction i recommend ‘freakonomics’ by stephen dubner & steven levitt to literally everyone its a collection of economics studies that are SO interesting to read (& i’m a physics student so i normally hate econ stuff)
- for fun & lighthearted i read ‘on earth as it is on television’ by emily jane recently & it was so lovely
- if you want your heart ripped out & trodden on several times ‘wandering souls’ by cecile pin literally broke me like 4 separate times
- if you want dnd party once the campaign is over vibes ‘legends & lattes’ by travis baldree is great (has lesbians🫡)
- also soft & sweet but will make you cry your eyes out the ‘before the coffee gets cold’ series by toshikawa kawaguchi i cannot recommend highly enough
- for queer fiction specifically i would recommend ‘black flamingo’ by dean atta
- lastly my 2 fav standalone books ever written are ‘the bone clocks’ by david mitchell & ‘the night circus’ by erin morgenstern
i am the person who has read 50+ books a year from the ages of 8-present so i am full of recs if you ever need more (my most read genres are scifi & horror but i try 2 read a range of stuff)!!! hope you have a lovely evening 😁😁😁

I read mainly fantasy and/or romance, technically the romantasy stuff from tiktok is genre wise right up my alley but istg most of them are ass and I get pissed just thinking about them😭

saw the prologue of your latest series while opening tumblr in class (as one does) and squealed in excitement,, I then proceded to get bludgeoned by your amazing writing and description. My friend has red crescent imprints on their shoulders from how hard I was gripping them,,, It took me several hours to fully digest those 6053 words !! it had me clutching my pearls. right, right. my friends witnessed my heart and soul shattering into a million pieces,,, it wasn't a very good look. I still haven't fully recovered. I am not gonna lie, I have a very weak body that can't handle strong temperatures, be it too warm or too cold, which makes me not wanna choose a winter or summer island and to be honest, I would not enjoy an island in the Grand Line because they're too dangerous for my scared ass😂😂 so realistically, probably Dawn Island (yes I choose life on easy mode lmao)
If I could choose freely without thinking about any logistics? Kuraigana Island, 100%. Like hello, an island with a gloomy castle like this, completely isolated? Get me there asap!! Immaculate gothic vibes!!
Also I'm so glad you love Chasing Ms. Trouble! It's such a fun series and I'm enjoying writing it a lot even if it's purely self indulgent haha

He always did it before breakfast and always, always when you were distracted.
You liked to watch him work in the early mornings; in part because he rose at an ungodly hour and you preferred sulking with him to sulking alone in bed. The galley was at its calmest then, before the fourth division filled it with voices and knife-work and the scrape of boots against the floor. Only the ovens were awake, breathing heat into the room while the air beyond the small windows stayed grey and cold.
Flour dusted the counter in pale streaks, clung to his forearms, and softened the movement of his hands as he worked the dough like he had all the time in the world.
And he always looked proud to have you sitting there while he finished preparing, smiling whenever he glanced toward you.
“You’re going to overwork that dough,” you told him.
He gave you a small look, fond and amused. “Is that so?”
“If you keep looking at me so much.”
Loved how this started and then when Reader noticed he was hurt, ugh my heart🥺 I'll always always love your writing
