Wow. Haven't posted to this thing in a while.

For those of you who don't have me on Facebook, quite a bit has happened since I last posted here. Most notably, becoming single last year and transferring to UC Davis this year. I also came out as an atheist, and was president of the agnostic/atheist/freethinker club at Sacramento City College for the last two semesters.

Anyway, maybe I'll post here more. Or maybe I won't. We'll see.

I can haz Windows in my Linux?
http://www.virtualbox.org/

My desktop. Click for full size. (1600x1200)

This means I don't need a dedicated Windows partition on my desktop computer at all. No need to dual boot when I can just boot Windows up whenever I want from within Linux.

By the way, I'm currently posting this from within the Windows... window.

Religious discussion, fight leaves man unconscious

Who would Jesus arrest? Well, Salt Lake City police arrested the combatant left conscious Tuesday in a fight over religion.

About 3 p.m. Tuesday, two men near 800 East and 900 South in Salt Lake City got into a discussion over whether Jesus was a Mormon or a Catholic. The discussion led to blows, police said, and when officers arrived, one man was unconscious and the other was sitting on a sidewalk. The man still conscious was intoxicated, police said, and arrested on suspicion of assault and public intoxication.

On that note, off to Fanime!

I just lost my higher educational virginity, and all I got were a couple of letters after my name.

Tonight was graduation. It was awesome. Assuming I passed my classes, I now have an Associate degree in psychology. Next stop is Bachelor's, and I plan on being a total education slut, and eventually go for Doctorate.

I just got a letter from Sacramento City College saying that I couldn't graduate this semester because I lacked reading competency. I guess this is what happens when you've been in school so long they change assessment codes on you. I'm going to get this cleared up tomorrow.

In the mean time, I think it's kind of funny. When I get my own psychology practice, I'm going to frame the letter, and hang it up in my office in place of a PhD.
