I saw Avatar today and that was one of the best movies I have ever seen. My favorite movie is Gladiator but I mean this might just take top spot for me. It was a long movie yet I never felt for one moment that I wanted it to end or that it was too long. It just made me feel so happy and the entire movie was so beautiful.

Home!

If you want to read about my adventures in Europe with my mother please hit up iwasfaraway.blogspot.com

I did manage to get some prime football under my belt, watching Fulham go down 0-1 to Hull City on the 4th of March and then seeing Barcelona squash Malaga 6-0 much to my delight. I had the exciting opportunity to watch Spain vs Turkey in Madrid on the 28th of March and saw them beat Turkey 1-0.

The Spain game was my favorite because it was overwhelming that I was seeing Fernando Torres and David Villa and Iker Casillas and the list goes on all in one place. I was happy to see Gerard Pique and Juan Mata there because nothing thrills me more then having had physical contact with the goalscorer (aka me glomping him, got to love Canada's shit security) I was really happy to see Xavi again and to watch him play. I got the new Spain jersey with his name on it and that made me really happy.

I am just happy to be home and can't wait for the next opportunity for me to watch good football live.

It's been an interesting year and a half in the meat department at work. Dean is leaving to go work at Quality Foods which despite it being advancement for him, is a hypocritical decision since apparently he was the guy to go to to be dissuaded as to not work there.

When I got hired the line of senority went like this:
Mike
Dave
Elissa
Brad
Yvonne
Caren
Dean
Anthony
Marshall
Kaluhea
Brenton
Brian
me

and now a year and a half later it looks like this:

Mike
Alex
Dave
Elissa
Brad
Yvonne
Caren
Me
Emma
Erin
Ian
Brett
Janice

So in that year and a half I have worked with Kris, Kelson, Clayton, Werner, Johannas and Jordan that all did not work out for the meat department. I'm still in there for a few months.
