my intro

Name: Cindy Ryan
Nom de Plume: wintermoon
Fandom(s)/Genre(s) you've written: Harry Potter, and various original stuff
'Ships that you've written: Harry/Draco, Harry/Oliver, Harry/Charlie, Ron/Hermione, Lucius/Severus, Remus/Sirius, Harry/Remus, one very recent (and probably disturbing) installment of Harry/James/Lily, and a plethora of mixed up ships in my little oneshot fic "Lupin's Assignment"
What are you "known" for?: Ummmmm, I guess my first fic, Blast from the Past, and my current WIP, Per Solum Lacuna: By Words Alone. The former seems to be fairly well known and the WIP sequel is in the works. The latter is co-authored by the fantabulous Azhure, with whom I share a brain, despite the fact she's in Australia. Also - smut. I think I'm probably known for smut.
More about you: I have one child, and am recently single after the third and longest of serious relationships in my life. I'm working on a Master's degree in English and assisting with a Developmental WRiting class. I have a gaggle of wonderful friends and try to have as much naughty fun with them as I possibly can! ;)

My little intro

*waves* hi!

Name: Trisha Masen

Nom de Plume: Simon's Flower

Fandom(s)/Genre(s) you've written: Harry Potter, Duran Duran, some original fic

'Ships that you've written:
In the Potterverse: Harry/Ron/Hermione (OT3), Harry/Hermione, Harry/Ron, Harry/Tonks (well... there's one started anyway), Hermione/Ginny, Harry/Hermione/Ginny
In the Duranverse: Simon/OFC

What are you "known" for?: NC-17 fics. As I put it, there was a reason I was blacklisted, you know.

More about you: NC-17 is easier for me to write sometimes than R or less. If there's going to be sex, why tone it down. I have a hard time drawing the line at "fading to black" and my muse takes over.

I tend to go on writing jags where I may crank out two or three whole stories or chapters, then nothing for a month or two.

And my Duran Duran epic, Dance Into the Fire, I've been writing for 10 years. I've rewritten it three times now. However, since I was sucked into the Potterverse, I haven't touched it. *sigh* I would like to finish it. I have several chapters plotted and everything.

Well, if I had no WIPs, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

'Ships that you've written: Draco/Ginny, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Draco, Ron/Hermione, Trio (with that many 'ships, you'd think I'd have more on paper!)
What are you "known" for?: uh...I'm not
More about you: I'm 30, I have too many children, but just the right number of husbands. I'm new to this whole writing thing, although when I was in fourth grade I decided that I wanted to be a science fiction author when I grew up. Some of my favorite authors include (in no particular order) Laurrell K. Hamilton, J.K. Rowling, and Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb. I'm on the fence as regards to Robert Jordan. (Here's a fine case of irony for you: My mother's been dead ten years this May and she said after reading his fourth book, "the man is going to die before he finishes this series.")

A question to ponder...

It will probably be easiest to keep up with convos on theory if we just keep it in the replies. Although if you don't want to do it that way, that's ok too. ::g::

Harry Potter and the Not Yet Fleshed Out Plot

Okay, so I'm actually working on a coherent story here.  A new thing for me.  I'm going to summarize and quote bits of myself (behind cut tags) and ask for feed back and commentary.

Harry Potter and the Not Yet Entirely Fleshed Out Plot (a working title)

Rating: Like to be R at the very most.  (Maybe the odd NC-17 scene....but not as part of the main story)

Disclaimer:  Do I look like J.K. Rowling to you?

Summary:

Our story begins late the summer after fifth year at the Burrow.  Harry and Hermione come to spend the last two weeks of summer with the Weasleys.  Hormones, as hormones are wont to be, are amok.  Hermione has not  magickally been transformed into a bosomy, sleek-haired sex goddess, but is quite fetching none-the-less.  Ron and 'Mione fall into a fight-snog-fight pattern that isn't quite a relationship, and isn't entirely satisfying.  Harry, meanwhile, is moody and becoming lonely.

And so, a seed is planted, and 'Mione and Ron both start to wonder about Harry.   Meanwhile, our boy hero is

Meanwhile, there is an actual plot at work here.  When the students return to Hogwarts and file into History of Magic for the first time, they are greeted by a most unwelcome sight.  Snape.

Tune in next week, as we answer these stirring and important questions:  Why the heck is Snape in Binns' class, and where is Binns?  Will good English breeding over-come teenaged hormonal curiousity?  Does Hermione know when Ron is trying to play her?   Does Draco really practice his indolent pose in front of the mirror, or does it just come naturally?  Why does his breath smell like peppermints, and why on earth did Harry happen to notice it?

And what is happening to Hogwarts' ghosts?
