As of February 12th, the 2023 3 Sentence Ficathon has concluded and POST 2 is now CLOSED to new prompts.
This post will remain open for new prompts until February 12th or we hit 4000 comments, at which point we'll open a new one to avoid captcha as long as possible. New fills and comments on fills will always be welcome.
As a reminder, Post #1 and Post #2 are still open to FILLS. Post 1 is located HERE.
How to Prompt
Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence
Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand
Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:
any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either
Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:
Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand
Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

As Ace stomped back to her room, the Doctor couldn't help feeling a pang of guilt. Of course they'd saved the day: they always did. But he didn't blame Ace if she didn't trust him anymore- it was getting harder to even trust himself anymore.

"My apologies. I thought you -- for a moment, you reminded me of someone else," Ambrus says, smile fading. There's a strong resemblance, but perhaps he's mistaken. Somehow, a conversation still sparks, and something else too.

Date: 2023-01-17 05:08 am (UTC)But months later, when the Chancellor (the Sith Lord!!!!) tries to manipulate Anakin, he has actually learned some to communicate with the people he loves and knows that Obi-Wan and Padme are not having an affair and that puts some doubt on everything else the Chancellor has said, so he takes a minute and thinks things through and decides that maybe falling to the dark side for a hint of a possibility that there might be a way to save his wife from dying in childbirth is not the best decision to make in these circumstances.

And Lucy didn't really know for sure if she had to walk through a door or a tunnel for the world to change around her, or if it could just happen blowing on a dandelion, nor did she know all the possibilities of what that change could look like—a whole new world, like Narnia, or just a new visitor from a distant region she'd never been to. All she could do was make the most of the life she had now, at Cair Paravel, with all her friends and siblings, enjoying the breeze off the Eastern Ocean, dreaming of what could happen in the next three years.
I looked up the song while writing, but the quote independently was 95% of the inspiration for this. I hope it landed somewhere near the intended prompt!
