We bummed a ride to Atlanta to catch a flight to DC and almost had a heart attack when our flight that had been delayed all day was suddenly showing on time. Thankfully it was in fact still delayed and we made it by the skin of our teeth.

My crew agreed that once again the Marriott with M Lounge access and the concerts are an unmatched pairing for Essence Fest if you enjoy being in the middle of the action. There aren't gonna be a lot of celebrity or influencer sightings, just grown folks vibing, DJs spinning, and importantly a staff that embraces the Essence crowd.
