Building Bridges with Awareness and fostering connections
Science-backed workshops, retreats, and community experiences in Vienna and beyond – helping people slow down, live with greater awareness, and connect more deeply with others.
The Mindful BAse was founded in Vienna in 2025 by Adrián Klepe and Riccardo Trapannone.
Neuroscientist, yoga teacher, and mindfulness facilitator exploring the connection between brain science, embodiment, breath, and movement.
LinkedIn Profile
Neurobiologist, environmental consultant, and facilitator focused on mindful communication, sustainability, reflection, and community-oriented dialogue.
LinkedIn ProfileModern societies are fast-paced, and we often lose connection with our own values, with others, and with the surrounding environment.
As our motto says, our mission is to build bridges between people and communities, creating spaces where we can pause, reflect, connect, and grow together.
We aim to enhance well-being and the quality of daily life through science, mindfulness, communication practices, movement, breathwork, and reflective dialogue.
Our work is inspired by mindfulness traditions, relational practice, and contemporary neuroscience — shared in a practical, accessible, and human way.
Our journey began in May 2024 in Morocco, where we were deeply moved by the warmth, openness, and sense of human connection we experienced in everyday life.
Sharing tea, conversations, silence, music, and presence with people in Morocco reminded us of the meaning and value of genuine human connection.
That experience stayed with us — and eventually became the inspiration for creating spaces rooted in mindfulness, authenticity, and community building.
For us, mindfulness is a way of connecting with ourselves and others with presence, care, and compassion.
It is something lived — in conversations, relationships, work, rest, conflicts, and everyday choices.
Our perspective is shaped by the work of teachers and researchers such as Thich Nhat Hanh, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Daniel Siegel, Judson Brewer, and Marshall Rosenberg, as well as contemporary mindfulness and neuroscience research.
Interactive sessions combining mindfulness, communication, breath, yoga-inspired movement, and reflective dialogue.
Spaces to slow down, rest, reconnect, and cultivate presence — in nature and urban settings.
Meditation, embodied awareness, breathwork, and relational tools for everyday life.
Relaxed spaces to meet, share, reflect, and stay connected with practice and community.
Workshops for teams, organisations, universities, and communities on mindful communication, stress awareness, conflict resolution, and sustainable collaboration.
Do I need prior mindfulness experience?
No. Our events are designed to be accessible for both beginners and people with prior experience. You do not need to know how to meditate, do yoga, or have any background in mindfulness to take part.
Is this spiritual or religious?
Our work is not religious, and you do not need to follow any spiritual path to join. We offer grounded, inclusive practices inspired by mindfulness, embodiment, communication, and science, and we invite each person to engage in a way that feels meaningful and comfortable for them.
Are your events science-based?
Yes – our programmes are informed by neuroscience, evidence-based mindfulness approaches, and lived embodied practice. Depending on the event, we may include accessible scientific context on topics such as stress regulation, neurobiology, attention, emotional awareness, breath, and communication.
What language are events held in?
Our events are held in English, especially in Vienna’s international spaces, but this can vary depending on the format, location, and audience. If you are interested in a specific event or collaboration, feel free to contact us and ask.
Do you also work with teams and organisations?
Yes. We offer tailored workshops and group experiences for organisations, educational spaces, and communities. These can be adapted to the needs of your team or group, including themes such as mindful communication, stress awareness, reflection, and connection. If you need specific content, please get in touch with us.
What happens in a typical workshop?
Each workshop is a little different, but most include a mix of guided practice, short theoretical and scientific input, reflection, and group activities. Depending on the topic, this may include meditation, mindful breath, gentle movement, communication tools, or a neuroscience-informed context.
What do I need to bring when participating in your workshops?
We usually recommend bringing paper and pen for taking notes and for writing activities. Yoga outfit is not required, even if gentle movement is part of the activities. If something else is needed, we will state it clearly in the confirmation email.
Is this therapy?
No. Our events are not therapy and do not replace psychological or medical care. We create reflective and supportive spaces for learning, practice, and connection, but they are not intended as clinical treatment.
How can I stay informed about new events?
You can stay updated by following us on social media or via our events page. We share new events, collaborations, and ways to practice via LinkedIn , Instagram , and email newsletter. Once you join one of our events, you are automatically added to our mailing list. We send monthly emails with our upcoming events.
I no longer want to receive emails with upcoming events. How can I unsubscribe?
Very easy, please send us an email ( themindfulbase2005@gmail.com) saying that you want to unsubscribe, and we will remove you immediately from the mailing list.
