I find that with all the chaos in the world, it is important to stick to a few, choice truths.
john 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
romans 8: 35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

what, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
genesis 2:2-3
by the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
and God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

I kind of agree.
