Listings & Rankings

Our commitment to transparency extends to how we curate and rank team building experiences on our platform:

Curation Process

Our three-step process ensures quality and accuracy in our listings. First, our team researches and reviews websites, social profiles, and customer feedback to verify providers are active, highly rated, and suitable for professional groups. Next, we use OpenAI GPT to categorize experiences and estimate key details like prices, durations, and group sizes. Finally, our team reviews each entry before publication.

Activity Tiers

We organize listings into three transparent categories to help teams make informed decisions:

  • Originals and Verified Activities: In-house events and partner-hosted activities with 100% verified reviews. Partners pay a flat monthly listing fee for premium placement.
  • Claimed Activities: Vendor-reviewed listings with moderate visibility but fewer premium features.
  • Unclaimed Activities: Research team additions that may be outdated and appear lower in search results.

Ranking System

Our proprietary Team Building Score (TBS) determines the ranking of activities within each tier. The score considers multiple factors to ensure fair and useful rankings:

  • Quantity and quality of verified reviews
  • Source of ratings (e.g. company size)
  • Location and ease of access
  • Price, duration, and group capacity
  • Profile completeness
  • A custom blend of data signals and semantic analysis

Maintenance and Updates

Rankings refresh daily, with regular algorithm updates, new additions, outdated listing removals, and community flag reviews to ensure accuracy and relevance. This ongoing maintenance helps ensure teams always see the most current and applicable options for their needs.

Reviews Policy

We believe in the power of reviews to help teams make informed decisions. Our comprehensive review system ensures authenticity and provides valuable insights:

Verification Process

Our multi-step verification process maintains review integrity:

  • Only verified vendors can receive reviews on our platform.
  • Reviews must be linked to a confirmed booking with a specific client.
  • Reviewers must use their company email address for verification.
  • Individual participant reviews are tied to their specific event attendance.

Review Metrics

We collect comprehensive feedback to measure event success:

  • Team connection metrics (how connected participants feel to colleagues).
  • Happiness and satisfaction scores.
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) for overall experience.
  • Specific feedback about activity content and facilitation.
  • Suggestions for improvement and future events.

Quality Control

We maintain review quality through several measures:

  • Community flagging system for inappropriate or suspicious reviews.
  • Regular review audits by our team.
  • Immediate investigation of flagged content.
  • Removal of reviews that violate our guidelines.

Review Display

Reviews are displayed with location and event-specific context:

  • Reviews are tied to specific locations and event types.
  • A vendor's rating in one location does not automatically transfer to their other locations.
  • New locations or event types start with zero reviews, regardless of the vendor's performance elsewhere.
  • This location-specific approach ensures reviews accurately reflect the experience at each venue.
  • Exception: “Come to You” events that are facilitated by the same staff team may display reviews across different locations, as the experience quality is maintained by the consistent delivery team.

Ethics Policy

Our ethical guidelines ensure that our work maintains the highest standards of integrity:

  • Conflict of interest protocols: Staff members must disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationships that could influence their work. They recuse themselves from coverage where conflicts exist. All potential conflicts are reviewed by our ethics committee.
  • Guidelines for accepting gifts or promotional items: Our content team does not accept gifts or payment. Review products must be returned or donated after testing.
  • Privacy and data protection commitments: We collect only necessary user data, with transparent policies about its use. We never sell personal information to third parties. We comply with relevant data protection regulations.

Diversity Policy

We believe diverse perspectives strengthen our work and better serve our audience:

  • Our commitment to inclusive coverage and representation: We actively seek to cover stories affecting underrepresented communities and ensure our content reflects the diversity of our audience. We regularly audit our coverage to identify and address gaps in representation.
  • Internal diversity initiatives and goals: Our recruitment processes are designed to attract diverse candidates, and we offer mentorship programs to support career advancement for all groups.
  • How we ensure diverse voices are included in our content: We maintain a diverse expert source database. Our editorial guidelines require consideration of multiple perspectives, with particular attention to including voices from marginalized communities.
  • Training and development opportunities for staff: We provide ongoing professional development, mentorship programs, and leadership training specifically designed to support employees.
