TCAT Board of Directors
TCAT is governed by a nine‑member Board of Directors comprised of three individuals recommended by each of its three main local funding partners: the City of Ithaca, Tompkins County, and Cornell University. Nominees, in turn, are elected by the TCAT board and, in that capacity, serve TCAT solely and independently of their respective recommending bodies.

Riders Advisory and Accessibility Committee
The TCAT Riders’ Advisory and Accessibility Committee (RAAC) meets on the 2nd Monday of the month every other month in January, March, May, July, September and November from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Zoom until further notice.
Established in 2007, the committee is comprised of riders, each who serve as an extra set of “eyes and ears” to provide feedback and suggestions to TCAT staff.
Riders and members of the TCAT team discuss current issues and future projects. If you would like to join in the future or attend a virtual meeting, please send a an email to Patty Poist at [email protected] or call her at (607) 277-9388, ext. 1560. TCAT is committed to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion and urges those who represent or who live in disadvantaged communities to join the riders committee to advance these goals. Persons of color, persons with disabilities, low-income, and Limted English Proficient (LEP) individuals are encouraged to join to provide TCAT feedback on how the agency plans and implements its services systemwide and to help ensure there are no disparate impacts on vulnerable populations.
