Lin was a human archaeologist.
On 1 January 2019, Lin and her colleague Mitch uncovered the body of the Third Custodian underneath Sheffield Town Hall, unknowingly resurrecting a dormant Recon Dalek. Lin became possessed by the revived Dalek, forced to retrieve the Dalek's weapons and build it a new casing. She later helped the Thirteenth Doctor and her friends defeat the Dalek. After Team TARDIS departed, she started a relationship with Mitch. (TV: Resolution)
