    Tenoo was an Outer Rim[1] planet[4] located in grid square I-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] During the High Republic Era, Grand Master Yoda of the Jedi Order sent Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs to the outpost temple located there.[32]

    Tenoo was home to ancient artisans who embroidered curtains for the Greylark residence on Coruscant.[33]

    History

    The human Kaliah Kublop was the first person to visit[14] the planet[4] Tenoo, having founded the town of Kublop Springs.[14] At some point, the Jedi Order established an outpost temple on Tenoo. In 232 BBY, the Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay and Nubs were stationed there, having been sent from Coruscant and first brought to Tenoo by the young pilot Nash Durango and her droid RJ-83 in their starship, the Crimson Firehawk.[4]

    By 233 BBY[34] a local gang known as the Ganguls had taken over the town of Aklyrr Bend. The Jedi younglings Brighstar, Solay and Nubs, and their friend Durango challenged the gang and encouraged the local residents to help expel them.[30]

    In 232 BBY, the planet was attacked and the Temple occupied by a confederation of pirates led by the Ganguls during the Battle of Tenoo. The Jedi trainees, led by Padawan Wes Vinik and Brightstar, managed to send a distress signal before their capture. They were rescued by several allies, including Padawan Celesta Kami, Princess Inaya of Hazun, Nash Durango's parents, Raxlo and Taborr's gang. The Jedi younglings managed to stop the pirates from destroying the Tenoo temple with explosives while Vinik and Taborr's gang shot down the Ganguls' flagship, the Rathtar's Revenge. The Ganguls were captured by the Jedi while their allies fled.[35]


    Behind the scenes

    Tenoo was first mentioned on a map created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines, with the map being published as part of a blog post on StarWars.com on May 27, 2022 prior[1] to the book's release on April 18, 2023.[36] The planet was created for the then-upcoming Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures series.[37]

    34. ↑ The second season of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures spans the dedication of the Starlight Beacon (which appears in the season one finale "The Prince and the Pirate") and the mission to Vrant Tarnum (which appears in "Yoda Rescue"), both of which are dated to 232 BBY by Star Wars: Timelines. The Season Two episodes "The Great Gomgourd Quest" and "The Missing Life Day Feast" take place one year after the Season One episodes "The Harvest Feast" and "Life Day," placing those episodes in 233 BBY. Season One begins around the same year, meaning that the first half of Young Jedi Adventures Season One, which includes "The Ganguls," takes place around 233 BBY.
