The Adega system was a star system in the Auril sector of the Outer Rim Territories which contained the planet Ossus,[1] and was situated in grid square S-6 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] The Adegan crystal family was found there. One kind was the mephite crystal, which was a rare, lustrous kyber crystal found in a handful of places in and around the system.[6]
Behind the scenes
The Adega system first canonically appeared in a Force vision in the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens,[7] and was first identified in the Fantasy Flight Games roleplaying manual Nexus of Power.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the system first appeared in the first issue of the comic series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – The Freedon Nadd Uprising,[8] written by Tom Veitch, illustrated by Tony Akins, and published by Dark Horse Comics on August 2, 1994.[9] Although that comic issue was the system's first actual appearance, it was first mentioned in For a Thousand Generations, an endnotes by Tom Veitch printed in the back of Dark Empire 4.[10]
