So Monday was my actual real official done-with-everything last day at work. Yee-fucking-haw. Tomorrow I will call the Unenjoyment Office and see how that works these days. In between visiting my dad in the hospital.
Um, yeah. His COPD landed him in the ER, intubated, and thence to the CCU where he has been for about two weeks. ( Hospital talk, details you might not want. )
Long story short, doesn't seem to be life threatening at this juncture, but there will be much rehab in his future.
In other (related-ish) news I now have a lot of time to knit! And what I have done is invested in a Circular Sock Machine like these and I am planning to knit a fucktonne (that's metric!) of socks and sell them through various gift shops in the area and/or online via Etsy. This is kind of exciting, not gonna lie. And my hope is that cranking out socks is dissimilar enough from actual knitting that it will be separate from it, and I won't burn out and hate knitting in six months. \o/
And now my typo'd words have officially outnumbered the correct ones, so I go bed.
ETA: Local people! Sheep to Shawl this weekend! I wanna go! Come with me!
