Inconsistent UK Adult Cover for DH

There's something inconsistent about the UK adult cover of the Deathly Hallows when compared to the covers of the earlier books in the series. Let me go through them one by one:

1) Philosopher's Stone - the stone is there on the cover in all it's glory
2) Chamber of Secrets - and you have the entrance to the chamber right there
3) Prisoner of Azkaban - there's your prison (and I think they should have stuck with this image compared to the one in the OOTP movie which just sticks out of the ocean with no foundation/island to stand on)
4) Goblet of Fire - there's the goblet of fire
5) Order of the Phoenix - and you can see Fawkes right there, flying out of Dumbledore's office
6) Half-Blood Prince - you have the potions book which was doodled on by Severus P. Snape

But when we come to the last book, we have a picture of one of Voldemort's Horcruxes, the locket of Salazar Slytherin. But Book 7 is not entitled "Harry Potter and the Locket of Slytherin". Nor is it entitled "Harry Potter and the 6 Other Horcruxes". It's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". And there lies the inconsistency.

For the past 6 books, all of the adult covers pertained to or had some relation to the title; whereas for the 7th one you have no connection between them at all. It could've made sense if the Elder Wand was on the cover (and rightly so, seeing that it was quite pivotal throughout the series). Or if it was Gaunt's ring (which also made a debut in the last book). Dunno how they would've made the Invisibility Cloak appear though. Hehe.

Anyway, that's just me obsessing about trivial things. Your thoughts?

An invitation...

Since this community has died down a bit I wanted to invite you all to apply for another community I am proud to be a member of:

hogwarts_elite. It's a sorting community. Don't let the word 'elite' scare you. If you love the world of Harry Potter and want to take your fandom to the next level then applications can be found at sorting_elite. See you in Term 12!

EDIT:  Here is the application for this Term 12.  Please read the Idiot's Guide to Sorting and the

sorting_elite userinfo Proper Sorting Procedure.  It's very intense and intimating but I feel that the community is worth it.  ;-)

Here's my application and votes.  I was sorted last May (Term 11).  It's a good idea to read some past applications and votes to get a feel for what you need to do.

repressive or what??

I guess by now you all might have heard about the French guy arrested for posting his own translation on the net.

Along with the "LJ purged my account" cry from whathisname who apparently posted a play-by-play, this is the second internet prosecution I've heard about. And yet these spoiler communities seem to be immune - hell, spoil_me_dh was featured on the bloody login screen.

Has anyone on this comm been subject to the Heavy Hand of Rowling?

(You know, I don't think this is about copyright. This is about Rowling finally realising what a dog of a book she wrote.)

As I sit on Deathly Hallows longer and longer, more theories come to mind. For instance, the prophecy's "...power the Dark Lord knows not...." has always been presented by Dumbledore as the power of love. *warm squishy soft hugs* But couldn't the prophecy actually refer to Snape? I mean, had he not been involved, it's highly unlikely that Harry could have defeated Voldemort. He wasn't exactly getting anywhere with Ron and Hermione, was he? He had a horcrux with him, after all, and didn't figure out how to break it until Snape sent the Patronus to lead him and Ron to Gryffindor's sword. And Snape had managed to stay in Voldy's good graces long enough that Voldemort hardly even questioned him anymore. He assumed Snape's loyalty, and knew not of his plan with Dumbledore to bring him down.

As I write this, it occurs to me that Snape = Love in the eyes of the prophecy. He did everything for his love of Lily Evans, if not for love of her son. And Harry had so much other help, from Hermione, Ron, Dobby, the Order, McGonagall, Ginny, Luna, Neville- dear, sweet, awesome Neville- all of which stemmed from their friendship and affection for him. So really, it was love that saved the day- just not in the way I thought it meant, originally.

If you can't find me later, I'll be in a diabetic coma.
