Okay, so I'm very sad because I just learned that Spartacus's third season (Aptly named "Spartacus: War of the Damned") will be their last! I love this show and all that goes with it; the blood, the gore, the love, the hate, the sex, the death! It is epic on a grand scale. I'm completely devastated that it will be over in 10 short (but creator-assured EPIC) episodes. *wails*
That being said, I am extremely thankful to Steven DeKnight for (not only making this amazing show) but for choosing to end his show at the top of it's game. There have been far too many shows that just never seem to end. They start off so strong and amazing only to limp and crawl their way to a discouraging finish. So I applaud and hug Mr. DeKnight for ending this stellar show with a bang and not a whimper!
I know I won't get to see the third season until January 2013 but I know I can say, with confidence:
Thank you to the cast, creators, producers, and STARZ for 3 AMAZING seasons of one of the best shows on television. It will be missed but I cannot wait to see what you guys come up with in the future.
