Merlin! Because I spent a very happy Saturday geeking with

siri0 and wish to encourage this.

Also I just watched the newest Last Chance to See episode, and, oh. I've found the fact that the series isn't another book by Douglas Adams slightly disapointing so far, but this episode entirely makes up for it. KAKAPO. God, I love the kakapo and this episode did them total justice. It was exactly the right balance of reminiscing and sweetness and solemnity and Mark Carwardine flailing as the kakapo tries to mate with his head. It was beautiful. That is what I've wanted from this show since it started, and now I can be content. If every other episode had been utter shit, this would have been worth it.

Also: my dear friend Soph randomly turned up at my door today with a gift. She said "I saw this and thought of you!" before handing me my very own pair of glow-in-the-dark skull-and-crossbone knickers. This is why I both love and fear my friends. Hee.

I fail, as usual, so here is a quick post to, as the kids put it, say "yo".

I have watched the first few eps of Castle. It is fun - Castle himself I like best when he's sekritly not being a dick, despite my hearts for all Nathan Fillions, but his KID and his MUM and BECKETT! Beckett is so great, I love her - like, okay, she's clearly cut from a familiar cloth of slightly-damaged-female-detective but I really like how it's done. She's FUNNY! It helps that she is believably kick-ass rather than ott and that all these women in the show TELL Castle that he's being a dick: their lives are also important and they are not any less people than he is and that is SO refreshing.

Plus, have I mentioned lately that I have a slight addiction to crime procedurals in both written and visual form? No? Well, uh, it might be true. (Although you couldn't get me to vacation in Midsomer or within fifty miles of Angela Lansbury if you paid me.)

In other other other news, the lovely

catwalksalone has posted a whole load of Tim/Tony NCIS fic lately. The latest one is maybe my favourite so far (as much as I love Tony pov for the lol, Tim makes me aww). Basically, I think Tim/Tony should be encouraged and also why is there no Abby/Ziva? *pimp pimp pimps like a baby... shrimp*
