It was in creating these icons that my mysterious lightening-while-in-save-for-web problem reappeared. I ended up trawling around the internet for a solution for a few hours and found one eventually so if you've been having a similar problem (the image you see in your workarea is not the image you get in the Save for Web preview) drop me a line and I'll point you in the right direction.

The Blade Runner screencaps weren't very good and so I'm not pleased with most of them. My Photoshop is once again making images Saved For Web as at least 10% lighter than they should be, washing out the colour. So I have to guess what it should look like, make it darker and more saturated in the workspace, and then see how it turns out in the Save for Web screen. Incredibly frustrating. I also highly recommend looking at the full-rez stereoscopic images, they're pretty damn awesome. There are also many more Penguin Covers around that I may or may not make more icons of. I kind of like them, and please bear in mind I didn't edit these at all except to crop and move around, titles and images are all the same as on the originals. I love Pre-Raphaelite art, so why it took me so long to get around to iconning some is beyond me. I am also a science nerd, so I think the Cassini and Hubble photographs are nothing short of awesome.
