Solo

I don't do it much, partly because I don't like shopping anyway and am rarely in a place where there is stuff around for me to impulse-buy. But sometimes...



I don't even use umbrellas much. I hate carrying them, hate having to navigate around people with them (particularly when those people also carry umbrellas) and given the fact that our rain is often accompanied by strong wind, I also find them kind of pointless. I've been using, or not-using, the same crappy old umbrella for a decade or more.

But when I was in Sainsbury's last, I saw this one:



Isn't it cute!? :-) I may never use it, either, because then the wind might destroy it or I might forget it somewhere, or... whatever. But I just couldn't resist. It's currently lying (folded up with cover on, I hasten to add) on a filing cabinet beside my desk so I can ogle it frequently, before ultimately I guess I should put it away in a wardrobe.

Only randomly related thought: putting a cover on one of these folding umbrellas is a bit like trying to get a very stubborn condom on somebody >_>
