I just found this community, and I have to share!

Over Christmas, I visited my brother in the Big Apple. Looking out his window I saw a little lingerie shop, and I made a note to check it out at some point.

I can't believe I waited as long as I did. When I finally peeked inside, I found a whole bin of funky striped and argyle knee socks. The packages were marked $12.99 each, but they were selling them for $1.50! When I had picked out all the ones I wanted, which was most of them, I turned around and there was the owner, opening another factory container of them...

I had to buy an extra bag to bring them all home! It was so much better than NYC's celebrated Sock Man store...which was WAY overpriced, though I did buy a pair of fuchsia glittery shorty socks there.

I haven't taken the tags off of some of them yet!

They go a little past my ankle.

wow...i didnt expect to find a community dedicated to socks. I have an obsession with cool/funky socks and tights. Perferablly stripped tights. My favorite section in clothing stores is the socks.
