It's Alive!

Yeah, I haven't been on here for...well, forever.

So, I'll break the ice with a little questionaire I stole from somebody...

If you post, I will:

a) Tell you why I friended you.

b) Associate you with something -- a song, color, photo, etc.

c) Tell you something I like about you.

d) Tell you a memory I have of you.

e) Ask you something I've wanted to know about you.

f) Tell you my favorite userpic from your list.

g) In return, post this on your own Livejournal

Travel update #1

My Brother Sean and I made really good time and got to Boulder in about 30 hours! I'm staying with my Brother Ian in Table Mesa. There's like six people living here already (and three dogs), so it's pretty lively around here. Sean's cooking for us right now. Pork, misc colored bell peppers, mushrooms, brown rice...pretty tasty. :)

The temperature was in the 90s shortly before we left Baltimore, and it had just started cooling down the couple days right before we left. I was hoping that it would be cooler out here, but it's in the 90s today and tomorrow at least...arghh!

Still...I'll probably be wandering around the city later today. I'm too curious to see what's going on, what's changed and who I might find that I haven't seen for almost nine years...at least.

More updateyness

I'll probably have a new computer shortly after I get back from my trip. Once I get everything hooked up and get internet service going at home, I'll actually have a chance to talk with people online again!

So what I want to know...what Messaging services do you all use these days? I keep hearing about new ones...Livejournal has one now, I think my Brother sent me an invite from Myspace or somewhere recently. Do any of you use these? What do you prefer? Where can I find you?

Road Trip!!!

I will be out of town from 6/30-7/14. I'm driving to Colorado with my Brother Sean (Wax). I don't suppose this will affect most of you, as I haven't been around / socializing much anyway...but just wanted to put the word out there.

I may still need somebody to come in occasionally and check on my cats...anyone interested? edit: The cats are going to be staying with my Mom...if anyone cares to know.

Any Colorado peeps going to be around and want to get together? I know a couple of you already know, but I think there are still a few more of you on here.

Yay! Only one week from now! I can't wait to get away for a little while. I love you guys, but I need a break. :P

Thanks everyone. :)

I know I worry too much anyway. It's still kind of surreal. I don't even recognize his voice. I'm sure it sounds different now anyway. We are both different people now. I'm trying to remember that, but there's still this little kid inside who's reacting emotionally.

I'm alright though.

((hugs))

Whew!

I just spoke with my Father for the first time in 25 years. I'm kind of shaking inside right now. I don't know what to think or feel right now. For a long time I thought he was probably dead. Now I may be seeing him in a few weeks.

I could use a hug.

Does anybody have any info on the laws that would protect me from having to allow my apartment management from being able to march strangers through my apartment anytime they want?

more books

The final installment of "The Series Of Unfortunate Events", unsurprisingly titled The End, is now available. One might also want to check out The Beatrice Letters as well. I'll definately be acquiring a copy of
The Tragic Treasury: Songs from a Series of Unfortunate Events by Gothic Archies, Stephin Merritt, and Lemony Snicket
.

For the curious traveller, be sure to check out Lonely Planet's Micronations. It's probably not quite as exciting as Cadogan's Traveller's Guide To Hell, but still out of the ordinary.
