So, thanks for all the well wishes with the job! The interview is still Wednesday, but I do know they're checking my references! I got a text today from one of them as they wanted to assure me they gave me a glowing recommendation (not that I had any doubt!). They don't do that for just anyone, right? So that might mean something.
Today, I got a new toy: a shiny (oh is it shiny!) little handycam (handy indeed! Palm-y even! It's tiny!) camcorder. Mine was five years old, and bulky compared to even the biggest camcorder models. This one works on flash memory, which I feel all special with because I am a geek.
Also, Hugh Laurie has a beard. I would normally not announce the facial hair status of celebrities, but everyone else is talking about it. And it made Hugh a trending topic on Twitter! And I should probably stop assuming celebs on that sidebar list are dead or have had something bad happen to them. (David Carradine. :() But alas, it's only Hugh. With a beard. (Cue Fry/Laurie jokes. You know you want to say them!)

That was on the older one's birthday. Yes, that's what we did. Yesterday was the younger one's. We went bowling and then ate afterward (Oh, did I do plenty of that! Too much!) And hey, I actually got into the double digits bowling. Yay me! I still suck, but not quite as much as I used to! (Seriously, I got a 64 in one game and a 72 in the other. Yes. I'm
that bad. And no I don't usually go bowling so I can get better. That wouldn't be fun!)
The bowling, though, meant I had to miss the
Burn Notice season premiere. It's cool, though. Eps go on Hulu. Watched it today. Show's still got game! Yay! Go Matt Nix and co! (Also, welcome to the fandom
