Asian pop cannot fail to put me in a good mood

So I went to Status on Sunday, which is the gen x & y chruch service that Eddie and Kelsey had told me about. It was pretty fantastic.

Also, hung out with a kid from school I'd never really been friends with, but we have the same sense of humor, and we were bored, so we went to the Asian Market and then got Vietnamese food. For the first time, I disclosed all of my weird beliefs/interests/quirks before hand, to get it all over with. Was surprisingly refreshing and fun. When I asked him to tell me about him, he said "Well, I was born in a log cabin I helped my father build." Similar ridiculousness reigned the entire afternoon. May I state now that I have no romantic interest in this kid? Because both of the people I mentioned this to immediately thought that.

Speaking of boys, I think I'm going to give Newest Crush a rest, as it doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I should quit while I still can. Focus on the future, y/y?

Been working a lot more than I have in the past. This appears to be a permenant development, as they've scheduled me to work 4 days next week instead of the customary one or two. Not sure how I feel about this yet. > $ ([>] or [<]) free time. Circle one.

Yesterday and today I hung out with Sarah, which was nice. We bought a bunch of food and snuck it into the movie theater to see Wanted (pretty good entertainment, if a bit dissatisfying in details). Today we go 99 cent smoothies and watched the last two episodes of Absolute Boyfriend, which ended just how I wanted it to and exactly NOT how Sarah wanted it to. It is spectacular to have a RL friend who watches Asian Dramas, Tru Fax. Even if they ship differently than you. BUT IT HAD TO BE THAT WAY. Someone else please watch it and agree with me.

I'd hit it

So I have a new obsession and his name is Cillian Murphy. After watching Sunshine for a second time with Nicole, Aislinn, and Nic, and then a third time the next day with Sarah because it was her birthday and she had nothing to do, I've come to the conclusion that I. LOVE. THIS. MOVIE. Forever. And I haven't had this kind of crush on a actor since middle school. He is just so unique: pretty, but with a creepy edge, lovely deep voice and he's Irish! I think I'm going to have to marry him. Even though he is like 32 and therefore wayyy too old for me, who has squick issues with the thought of dating 22 years olds, even.

What do I care, I love this man.

I spent about 3 hours making a Sunshine (okay, so it's all Cillian) wallpaper. AND EVERYTIME I SEE IT MY HEART FLUTTERS I AM SO IN LOVE.

Please, kids, if you haven't already, go see Sunshine. <3

The day breaks, and everything is new

Just saw 27 Dresses. Very cute, but HELLO, BIGGEST FEAR OF BEING THE ONLY ONE STILL ALONE. CAN YOU PLEASE BE SOLVED BY A HOT, SNARKY JAMES MARDSDEN FOR ME? KTNXBAI.

Today I did absolutely nothing. A nice constrast to yesterday, which had me driving all over Orlando. I went to the Florida Mall with Sarah and Kelsey, where I got Sarah her birthday gifts. Then I had to rush back home and change to take Nicole out for her Very Very Belated Birthday Dinner. Try five months. heh. We drove all the way to Altimonte, in traffic, to eat at Season's 52. It was a nice place, but the menu was limited and over-priced. The waiter was weird, too, in a funny way. We had a good time, got all the air cleared, and hopefully we won't have any more issues.

Tomorrow everyone who can make it comes to my house to see Sunshine, which I'm very excited about. Oh, apocalypic movies, never leave me! You too, Cillian Murphy. On the subject, Nicole and I decided that it'd be nice to date a guy like him because other girls might find him too creepy, and yet his Pretty/Creepiness would keep things exciting. ^^ gip!

WOW

WHOO, EXAMS ARE OVER.

So. I saw Cloverfield at midnight. It was really good. Very intense, almost entirely realistic, and the crowd that came to see it was filled with dorky college guys. Not to mention the much-needed comic relief, which was great. ^^ Aislinn and Nicole went with me, and we had a blast. But I'm still kind of tense, ready for something to jump out at me...

Now, it's 3:08 in the AM and I am going to bed FOREVER.

Productivity level: dangerously low

So today, after watching Much Ado About Nothing on Youtube while I ate breakfast, I typed up a little outline of all the things I need to do/deal with in RL right now. It was intimidating, to say the least. So just as I started tackling the smaller stuff (i.e. cleaning) my mom calls and asks if I want to go see Atonement. So I do. And then we stayed to see I Am Legend. And I got nothing done today. :/

As for the movies, I have mixed feelings. (No spoilers, kids.) Atonement was obviously well-made, and the settings were beautiful. The way they organized the story worked very well. But it was lacking something. Something to make it profound, I think. It's ending is anticlimatic, and they could have improve that. I'm not asking for rainbows and butterflies and everyone shoving flowers in their ears, just a fitting ending.

I Am Legend, on the other hand, was really good. The suspense was about as perfect as you can get, but the characters- well, character, really- was sensible, unlike most thriller characters which force you to yell obvious directions to them the whole movie. Also, Will Smith is a spectacular actor, and managed to be both funny and tragic, strong and merely human, all at once. The ending, which I had only heard bad things about, was surprisingly fitting, I found. It made sense, given the circumstances, and I didn't think it needed to be changed. A++

Here's hoping I don't have nightmares. :]

I haven't taken a Korean lesson in a week. :( But I can still count! :D
