Still thinking about the miserable mushroom trip I had while camping this year

every time I’ve dabbled with hallucinogens I’ve looked at it from the lense of wondering how it may benefit my art. But then I realize just how inward into the interior the process is, so it’s not as if some new frontier will reveal itself to me. It didn’t help my art at all!

I find myself frustrated… put simply? my art has been boring and unsatisfying 

mumbletag I think this is in part to me just drawing a lot of figures... instead of practicing dynamic poses or scenery... I finished that self portrait and I kind of like it? I suppose? it was a doodle I ended up going farther with but my main sentiment that I feel right now... is annoyance?? how boring... I think I prefer an abstract direction no.... im not sure I like that portrait at all im not very fond of feeling like this but I think its healthier to approach these feelings instead of forcing positivity when there is none

feeling really discouraged about my art rn… it’s hard to fight against those negative moods
