Blade would very likely be considered demi in today’s terms, so he never had any random crushes! His older cousins would be thirsting over some teammate or classmate or something and young Blade in the background would be utterly nonplussed by whatever tf they were talking about, ranging from incredibly indifferent, unimpressed, oblivious, or vaguely judgmental. There’s a line in the old novels where he’s reflecting on it when he’s young and (I’m paraphrasing off the top of my head here, it probably sounded better in the context of the book) it goes something like:

Men went to war for love, died for love. Wrote poems about it, destroyed whole nations and dynasties for it. He’d never understood that.

Between MC and Trouble, the Commander’s gotten years taken off of his life at this point… 😂

Sometimes I (mentally) look over at him: tall, handsome, deadly… and I’m like “good for MC for bagging the biggest loser in town” 🙂‍↕️

Hi there, I can totally see the similarities you’re noticing, though they weren’t actually intentional! I think of Dark AU Blade as more cold and ruthless whereas Croelle feels more volatile and violent, kind of like a hot-blooded wild animal or something, but you’re right that there’s definite parallels between all three of them!

Hi, if you continually express doubt or hesitation throughout his confession, there’s actually a chance to reject him after his confession/kiss! But the option won’t show up unless you repeatedly express uncertainty or pull away during that moment. Hope that helps!

You should check out the #deadliest warrior tag, it has a lot of these types of scenarios! It really depends on the circumstances, but most of the time, I give it to Blade. Chase is extremely wily and unpredictable as well as acrobatic and fearless, but Blade has the upper hand with arma-enhanced… everything. It’s really close, though!

The man is STARVING, he doesn’t understand why Trouble and Chase are smirking because this is no laughing matter!!!

Blade hates shopping for himself and is bored/irritated if others drag him along to do it, but romance tends to activate a strong… provider instinct inside of him, where he finds himself constantly preoccupied by the overarching question: “What do you need? And how do I bring it to you?” Basically (part) of his idea of courtship is making sure MC is cared for like the precious person she is, and that all of her needs are met, and since he knows it’s adamantly not normal to like go out and hunt and drag home a deer or present MC with the heads of her enemies, his next best option is to take them shopping as a way to channel that “LET ME CARE FOR YOU” energy LOL. (Notice that a lot of the things he buys for MC tend to be weapons or practical defensive tools 😂 And then when they’re not, he overthinks it and becomes paralyzed with indecision, which is why taking MC shopping together is the next best thing lol so he can learn what she likes)

And I generally prefer to let players test this kind of thing out for themselves, but since you’re debating whether to start over: off of the top of my head, I don’t believe sleeping with Prihine locks you out of Blade’s romance, but declaring her your “main” romance in conversation with others might! Sorry, it’s a lot of code to comb through, but that’s what I remember off of the top of my head! 😅 Hope that helps!

Trouble’s still trying to find a way to be friends with you and feels like it’s “his fault” for ruining the friendship by bothering you with his feelings (if they’re not requited), so he tries to put on a stronger front in the face of rejection in order to preserve the friendship… because he’s well aware that it’s on him if it makes things awkward between the two of them, in his mind MC was just innocently existing and doesn’t deserve to get punished for rejecting him! Blade just ends up blurting things out without really thinking that far ahead, so he doesn’t really know how to react and just removes himself from the situation as fast as possible instead of trying to maintain cordiality like Trouble, who prepared himself ahead of time LOL
