Cancellation & Refund Policy
This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
Sgùrr Tours operates exclusively private, chauffeur-guided Highland experiences. Each reservation secures a dedicated executive vehicle and professional guide exclusively for your party for the full duration of the booking.
As a private luxury service operating within a seasonal market, cancelled dates are often not recoverable at short notice. The following terms reflect the operational commitment involved in reserving your experience.
1. Deposit & Payment Structure
1.1 A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
1.2 The remaining 80% balance is due 28 days prior to departure.
1.3 Bookings made within 28 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking.
1.4 Failure to settle the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the Booking without refund of the deposit.
2. Cancellation by You – Single-Day Tours
2.1 All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
2.2 The 20% deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.
2.3 If cancellation occurs more than 28 days prior to departure, no further charges apply beyond the retained deposit.
2.4 If cancellation occurs between 14 and 28 days prior to departure, 50% of the 80% balance will be refunded.
2.5 If cancellation occurs between 7 and 13 days prior to departure, 25% of the 80% balance will be refunded.
2.6 If cancellation occurs fewer than 7 days prior to departure, the 80% balance is non-refundable.
2.7 Failure to attend at the agreed time and location constitutes a no-show and is non-refundable.
3. Cancellation by You – Multi-Day Tours
3.1 For tours of two or more consecutive days, the following terms apply in addition to clause 2:
3.2 The 20% deposit remains non-refundable.
3.3 If cancellation occurs more than 28 days prior to departure, no further charges apply beyond the retained deposit.
3.4 If cancellation occurs between 21 and 28 days prior to departure, 40% of the 80% balance will be refunded.
3.5 If cancellation occurs between 14 and 20 days prior to departure, 25% of the 80% balance will be refunded.
3.6 If cancellation occurs fewer than 14 days prior to departure, the 80% balance is non-refundable.
4. Amendments & Rescheduling
4.1 Requests to amend a booking date are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
4.2 Where more than 28 days’ notice is provided, we may, at our discretion, transfer the Booking to an alternative date within the same calendar year.
4.3 Requests made within 28 days of departure will normally be treated as a cancellation and rebooking unless otherwise agreed at our sole discretion.
4.4 We reserve the right to apply an administrative charge where changes are agreed.
5. Cancellation by Us
5.1 We reserve the right to cancel a Booking due to:
• Severe or unsafe weather conditions
• Events outside our reasonable control
• Safety concerns
• Vehicle failure or operational constraints
5.2 In such cases, guests will be offered:
• An alternative date; or
• A full refund of monies paid
5.3 Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the Booking.
