Last week, I had the privilege of hosting leading CxOs from Singapore’s Banking, Healthcare, and Public Sector to explore this very challenge — in partnership with Microsoft and expertly curated by OpenGov Asia’s Mohit Sagar. This conversation stood out for several reasons: ✨A unique, intimate venue setting at The Mandala Club, enabling deep cross‑table collaboration while staying connected to insights shared across the room. ✨Real‑time polls that surfaced the most urgent automation challenges leaders are grappling with today. ✨Transparent, experience‑led dialogue, creating a trusted environment where leaders could openly compare enterprise maturity and co‑design the path forward. Across all discussions, a few themes became unmistakably clear: 🔆Boards are asking CxOs to deliver significantly more, with significantly less. 🔆Achieving visibility across complex IT layers while aligning governance and regulatory compliance remains a major hurdle. 🔆Agentic AI is the destination, but the journey must start with a strong foundation of Agentic Automation — with observability and GRC embedded by design, not bolted on later. This is exactly where the IBM – Microsoft partnership unlocks real, differentiated value. With IBM Automation and Observability solutions now available on Azure, clients gain the combined strength of both technologies — along with the ability to leverage Azure commitments and investment benefits to optimise budgets while modernising rapidly. Through this collaboration, CMU gains access to IBM (NYSE: IBM) Quantum Infrastructure and critical supporting resources, with the goal of leveraging IBM’s AI and Quantum Computing capabilities to develop practical knowledge for research, address challenges specific to the Thai context, and cultivate future talent—preparing the next generation of scientists, researchers, and innovators. This initiative will also contribute to strengthening the quantum research ecosystem at both the national and ASEAN levels. This event is organized with the primary objective of fostering collaboration between academic researchers and industry partners, while opening the door for international cooperation in advancing and applying quantum computing across high-impact domains, including materials science, healthcare, financial servicea, data science, and high-performance computing, energy and sustainability. It also highlights the role of advanced simulation and optimization techniques in solving complex industrial challenges. Importantly, the event underscores the growing importance of applied quantum innovation in enhancing research capabilities, driving sustainable growth, and strengthening the competitiveness of Thailand’s industries.
