Two-Face in Harleen
Sep. 30th, 2020 10:12 pmI recently finished reading Harleen by Stjepan Šejić, and since it's been a while since I've read a story that gives a prominent role to Harvey, I figured I'd share the love.
Mind you, I'm not exactly happy with his portrayal here. I hate when they have him flip the coin again to try and get the result he wants. I think that completely misses the point of the tragic figure who needs the coin to make his decisions for him. Imo, it's as if a writer had Dr. Quinzel become a criminal not because the Joker manipulated her, but because she had a passion for mallets.
Still. He has a prominent role. That's more than modern comics have given him in a very long time.
( Plus he looks good with this art! )

Jun. 14th, 2019 03:00 pm
DC's Black Label is releasing yet another Joker/Harley miniseries, this one from Stjepan Šejić.
Dr. Harleen Quinzel has discovered a revolutionary cure for the madness of Gotham City -- she just needs to prove it actually works. Through her studies of the criminals and sociopaths that pass through the halls of Arkham Asylum and the GCPD, Harleen is seeking to end the growing apathy among the citizens of Gotham. But with the criminal justice and mental health establishments united against her, the brilliant young psychologist must take drastic measures to save Gotham from itself.
Following an attack on the city by the villainous Joker, Harleen will come face-to-face with one of the many criminals she hopes to heal -- but she will soon find herself drawn into the madness and insanity that plagues him. Witness Harleen’s first steps on a doomed quest that will launch the legendary super-villain Harley Quinn in this stunning reimagining of Harley and the Joker’s twisted and tragic love affair.

That Wonder Woman post with Nicola Scott's art made me think of Stjepan Sejic's and his idea for a Wonder Woman design as well as his series Death Vigil. So I am making a post about Death Vigil right now
( I could have made a post about Ravine but i don't have scans so... )

Angelus #5: Well, That Settles That
Sep. 7th, 2010 04:47 amA while ago,
neo_prodigy posted a list of his favorite LGBT characters in comics, one of whom was Danielle Baptiste. She used to have the Witchblade; now she's the host of the Angelus. I pointed out in that thread that Dani was still in a will-they/won't-they concerning her relationship with her girlfriend Finch, so including her in the conversation seemed slightly premature.
As it turns out, he sorta called it.
