Angelus #5: Well, That Settles That

scans_dailyA while ago, neo_prodigy posted a list of his favorite LGBT characters in comics, one of whom was Danielle Baptiste. She used to have the Witchblade; now she's the host of the Angelus. I pointed out in that thread that Dani was still in a will-they/won't-they concerning her relationship with her girlfriend Finch, so including her in the conversation seemed slightly premature.
As it turns out, he sorta called it.
Context: last issue, Jackie showed up to pick a fight with Dani, since she's theoretically his archenemy now. The fight involved Finch punching him in the face, which may catapult her into some kind of Top Cow top ten for sheer cojones.
After that, Finch is bandaging Dani up when one thing leads to another... and Dani's dad walks in.
Much of the rest of the issue is taken up with a surprisingly explicit sex scene that goes on for several pages. Somewhere in America, a twelve-year-old boy got his hands on this issue, and now he is a man.

oh yes witchblade :) I love this series. No surprise there, I actually love Marz's writing. It does more for me than most writing in comics does, today.
