Not sure if I actually posted this earlier (as in sometime last month) or not but anyway...
If you would like a card, just ask. This post is screened, so please leave your address here or pm me. I don't mind sending to overseas addresses either. :)
Also, please let me know if my cards actually arrive or not. (I have the feeling that *sometimes* they might not be arriving at all, or arriving very late. *sigh*)
The weather is supposed to be fairly nice, so today will be Errand Day. I hadn't really planned on it but I have to take the chance and do some basic shopping. Mostly groceries; things are exceptionally tight this month because my new car really increased my insurance *because* it is so new. Eeeek! Oh well. I did change insurance companies, and I am getting a better deal for a little less money. The premiums will be due June 1st and Dec. 1st (instead of July 1st and January 1st, which was awkward.) I hate to think what my gas bill will be; that is going to be *high*. Ugh. But no way around it -- luckily my gas bill is pretty minimal the rest of the year.
Oh and guess what? Late last night I discovered that all of the cards I had addressed and *thought* I sent, were actually still in their bin, all ready to go. ::facepalm:: I am so sorry, everyone. I thought they had been mailed, honest! Because I knew I had them ready to mail weeks ago, I thought they had been sent and I just forgot to make a note of it. So, they will be later than expected but they will still arrive. Just not as soon as I had hoped.
If you would like a Christmas Card from me, please comment here with your address. (All comments will be screened.) Or send me an email or PM if you'd like. :)
Note: Even if I have your address from last year, please comment again so I can make sure I have the right address and you get one.
I like to send all over the world, so don't be shy.
I will probably start sending out cards around the first week of December 1st (though hopefully earlier for non-US/Canada addresses.)
Not much new for me; I worked on Christmas cards today. The cough remains so I will probably have to go to dr. again, and soon. So not looking forward to that, believe me.
The weather has been unusually nice here and I have been watching the nasty weather that is hitting the South and thinking about Donna. She hated cold winter weather; she claimed "the beach weather is always perfect." Heh. She would have hated this cold spell. I still miss her terribly though.
I thought I had better post while I was able to get online. The weather plays utter havoc with my connection; I have spent the whole T'Day holiday offline more than on. Of course this would happen on a major holiday, *Of Course*.
There are still high wind warnings out and we are just seeing the first flakes of snow come down. I had planned to go to dr. this am but I decided to play it smart and stay inside. Though I probably will get the mail and stuff, if only so I can get the Blazer warmed up good.
So yeah, I'm not doing much other than Christmas cards and drinking loads of hot tea.
It appears that the Twilight Zone is officially part of snail mail because I got so many cards today! Some of them were from local towns (less than 20 miles away from me), and postmarked *before* Dec. 1st. ::boggles:: So if I don't list your name today, your card is probably on its way.
In other news, the weather. So far, so good but it's going to be bad soon. The weather forecasts are not too good, and people are being told: "If you're going someplace, go today and not tomorrow." Which has only convinced *me* to stay home, because the weather will probably start turning bad before night and the traffic is probably crazy enough with people running around with last minute errands/shopping.
There's plenty of food (for the human and the furries), so we're good. Time to just get ready to hibernate, imho. Back later on.
