How to make Bhuna Gosht
Step 1 / 5 Rub papaya paste on mutton
Take boneless mutton pieces and rub raw papaya paste on them. Keep it aside.
Step 2 / 5 Heat ghee in a pan
Take a large pan/ kadhai, heat ghee in it. Add onions and saute them till they turn brown in color. Then add ginger and garlic paste followed by tomatoes. Mix everything well.
Step 3 / 5 Add all the spices and mutton
Now, add spices (red chilli, turmeric, nutmeg, salt, pepper) and mutton pieces to the pan. Mix everything well. Let it cook for about 8-10 mins on medium flame.
Step 4 / 5 Pour the curd on the mutton pieces
Now, add green chilies, spices (bay leaf, cumin seeds, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick), and curd to the mutton pieces. Mix everything well and let it cook for about 10-15 mins. After that if you feel the mutton is dry, add 1.5 cups water and cook again for 5-10 mins on high flame.
Step 5 / 5 Finally, add milk to the mutton curry
Once the excess water has evaporated off, add milk and mix again. Cover the lid and cook it for about 20 mins on low flame. Garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve it hot alongside rumali rotis. Enjoy this lip-smacking Bhuna Gosht meal.
