This is an open invitation to pop over and check out our livejournal, recording our new 3rd edition story based DnD campaign - Ghostjammer! The setting is a mixture of Ghostwalk and Spelljammer. We've got game write ups, maps, photos, NPCs etc.

How's everyone been doing and what's everybody up to? I've been sort of pissed at the internet lately, because EZBoard got hacked, and I lost a 12-page character description. So I've been bumming at that.

I'm also pretty irked, because someone in our campaign got pissed about nearly dying, and threw my boyfriend's Monster Manual as hard as he could. The binding is ruined, and he's being a dick about it... I bought my boyfriend his entire 3.5 set! Mike (said spazz) is damned lucky he messed up the one book that didn't change much... If he had destroyed the Player's Handbook or DMG, I would have drawn blood.

On the plus side, we finally got fed-up enough with our lousy DM, and so we're starting a new DnD campaign. I am currently questing for good halfling names... =) I predict trouble: Spazz is playing a serious human ranger-fighter type, and he has gotten into the habit of bossing my characters around lately... Fortunately, my boyfriend is also playing a halfling, so there will, no doubt, be a tangle. My boyfriend is running it, in hopes of giving the other DM some idea of what he's been doing wrong... What I think is really cool is he's offering EXP for my (bard) journal entries! I think it's partly because he feels bad for getting me all excited about writing a journal for Falkenstein and never letting me play.

Unfortunately, we're stuck with Spazz, because most people in my area who table-top min-max their characters to the extreme and don't care a fig about the role-playing... I'm sure you all know the type. They're the sort of people who kill baby bunnies. =(

Well, enough babble from me! Just trying to revive the dead and all that... By-and-by, are any of you familiar with 8-Bit? It's an online comic based off of the early FF characters in a table-top setting--very well worth the read if you need a good laugh!

If you look in my personal journal you can see that life is falling apart on me right now. Hopefully I will be back up and mentally running soon.

Well, I didn't see any restriction to entry, so I thought I'd take a chance and join up...

Plus, hey, it's Minnesota-based, and that can't be bad!

If this is an invite-only club, let me know, and I'll cheerfully toddle off! Until then, though, I'll go on posting like it's nobody's business.

As an introduction... I've been role-playing online for roughly 6 years. Almost two years ago, I started LARP and table-top. Yes, yes, I'm rather new at this whole thing, and I haven't had much experience, so I'm looking to broaden my horizons, so to speak. I thought it might be fun to join a community, where I will be understood when wanking about our GM.

I'm also looking for some decent online games to join that won't crumble as soon as I touch them.

Almost randomly (because I'm curious): what do you do with a drunken sailor fallen paladin who won't crawl out of the bottle? Please enlighten me, because I am so about to leave him to his drink and lead a suicide mission against the demon myself...

Do you guys ever get annoyed when you make your character on an online RP and then someone comes along with a character that looks A LOT like your's? Or worse yet, They take on the Rival role against your character? I don't mind if they ask first or something, but it's starting to get on my nerves....

Ugh....

Real life interferes like mad at times.




Anyway, I am curious as to what genre of role play games you guys prefer?

I have two I enjoy: fantasy and vampire. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Forgotten Realms fantasy, although I prefer to play custom worlds at times. Unfortunately a favorite habit of mine is to either put MYSELF as a character into the game, or have characters jump from other worlds just to see how they react to the new situations.


The latter can make me be a difficult player. :(

Some people have left NWN since World of Warcraft came out. However I like it because it's so flexible for people to create or interact in worlds. The few pictures below are from my module of Eclipse: The Hollow World. This is what NeverWinter Nights can look like. :)

I love roleplaying. Even LARPING of the fantasy type.
I live in Winnipeg, and I took pictures of the Winnipegs Larp Havok at one point, but I don't know if they posted any of my pics.
